  1. When I see this thread appear, once again like a lemon I click on it in the vague hope of some exciting news or even just a titbit of takeover info. I must wise up and reconcile myself to the fact that no takeover will ever happen and we are stuck deeply centered in the poo for a long long time.
  2. ForeverSaints site is down, more apathy?

I think you will find that most of the doubters on here are the ones that were unhappy with JP's employment and the total football philosophy in the first place including me. Many of you state that it is too soon to be calling for his head and the need for stability, and yet you go off on one because many of us were happy to keep Pearson on and give him the opportunity to put a side of his own together and not the inherited bunch he was given. That would have been stability! But no, we are labelled wingers, doubters etc and asked to yet again give another of Lowes tinkerings a go in the knowledge that as before it will more than likely fail. I cannot believe how many of you are prepared to lie on your back and accept everything Lowe throws at you. Can't you see the dropping attendances, can't you see the league position, can't you see a thoroughly nice guy in JP being placed in a situation where he is totally out of his depth. Give some credit to the discerning!

Seemingly nice bloke and I feel sorry for him with an almost impossible task. It was a job he could never refuse but I feel it will prove a bit beyond him. I also feel that the job would under the circumstances prove difficult even for the most experienced managers but they would at least have the edge due to their knowledge of this league and the players involved. In saying that, there are very few experienced guys who would take on this mess in the first place. IMO it is going to get worse and our only hope is with serious money invested before it gets any better.
  5. We probably will at the end of the season in any case.
  6. Lucy was my highlight this afternoon!
  7. can I play the holding role?
  8. Is that because they keeping giving us the ball to see if we can eventually score.
  9. I bet she's got a good support!
  10. Hi Guys, sorry I'm late but I have been clearing out the garage of rubbish. Talking about rubbish, how are we doing?
  11. Scenario. Public zoo in financial trouble, sells its Tigers, Lions and Chimps to help its poor financial situation, but unfortnuately leaves no prize attraction for the paying public to see and then complains that it is still loosing money because of lack of paying customers. I blame the circus that owns the zoo for thinking that operating on the cheap is the ideal solution. Surely these financial brains and city folk could of come up with other options apart from "Sell everything quick and hope we survive with next to nothing".
  12. Agreed, plus we have Skacel doing feck all. Unless he is refusing to play, why on earth is he not being used?
  13. I understand and agree with your comments apart from the fact that that was then and this is now. Football has changed dramatically since then mainly due to the amount of money pumped in from various means. Now, if a club does not have the dosh it will be fighting against the odds resulting in more often than not, failure and lower league football. Today's equivalent of Paine, Channon, Le Tiss, will only use saints as a stepping stone, and that is only if they have been raised from within the club, anyone with an ounce of quality will not stay here for very long as proven by Walcott and will closely be followed by Lallana. Back then you could pretty much gaurantee that most of the squad would be back for the new season and that there would always be a degree of quality players left, along with the odd decent player joining the club making going to matches more attractive. Now, any quality players will not hang about for long nor will there be many coming in. On the basis of the above coupled with the basic fact that supporters do like to see there side win every so often, I can understand to some extent why there is a certain amount of apathy being shown towards saints and also other clubs in a similar situation. Unfortunately, without serious money being pumped into the club the situation will only worsen which I find very sad and thank god I have the memories of better times to fall back on, unlike many of the kids struggling to attend games now.

  21. You leave my pussy alone! Just because i'm in awe of your avatar!
  22. Makes you wonder!
  23. I think the side we have has some potential, but I also think the coach is getting it seriously wrong with selection and he is worryingly showing some inexperience at this level. Why Perry never started I do not know. McGoldrick is just not good enough yet to play the lone striker especially when you have John on the bench. How many did John score last season!. Skacel not in the side, well perhaps there is issues we know nothing about, but it now must be time to bring him back, we cannot afford to have a guy of that calibre doing nothing for the side especially if Holmes is out for a while. Gillet also concerns me so why not have Dyer and Skacel both in midfield.
  24. How will you feel when he is sold LGSC?
  25. You don't need to, just keep showing your avatar!
