Ok then, if we played Waterlooville in the FA cup, I suspect that they would have a real good go at us despite the fact that they are in a much lower division. I would suspect that they would actually test our goalkeeper on a few occasions. Did that happen with us when playing Man U? Where was the giant killing football that you see every year in the FA cup?. I saw none of the, lets get at them lads, we are going to lose but lets at least have a go attitude. It was not there to be seen. If the pundits can see it, the media see it, the neutrals like my cousin who is gunners through and through can see it and comment that we are a very poor outfit, if a majority of Saints fans can see it, how can some on here not?. There is no excuses, we were timid and too frightened to even attack them. The confidence of the team is at an all time low and basically our players trot out expecting to get beat. That is very sad and just proves to me that the club from top to bottom is dying.

I know it has been mentioned many times before but unless the fans unite and boycot, this mess will continue. It is the only one and true effective weapon we hold, and yes it will hurt the club but the eventual gain is worth it. And to all those that respond with "what are the alternatives", the alternatives are that Lowe will not be orchestrating our doom and that a manager can be put in place who knows what he is doing.

Well cop this prof, I thought our performance was timid and feckin gutless. You would have thought that as we had nothing to lose and that it was Man U that we would at least have a damn good go at them like many of the other lower league sides have this weekend. There are absolutely no excuses for not trying to make game of it. I was actually bored watching that and yet again the management and team produce a display not worthy of the stadium being full. All this damn square passing and poor passing at that achieves absolutely feck all and 9 times out of 10 we end up giving the ball back to the opposition. This is a kids team playing kids football with zero direction and for the life of me I cannot understand anyone that witnessed that making excuses for it. We had the dream draw that all the lower league sides dream of and we went out with a whimper. If you can't raise your game for Man U who are you going to raise it for. And Frank, I have enjoyed your posts in the past, and maybe you are right about the finances maybe not, who knows these days with the bunch of buffoons running our club, but stop defending the indefenceable. You can only use the limited fund excuse for so long. There are many other clubs in dire straights financially who are still managing to produce a competetive side and a side that would of at least made a game of it againts ManU.

Just another uninspiring display. Our lads are just running about with no direction or self belief. Manc never had their foot fully on the throttle and never needed to as we were as much threat as mini me wearing a suit of armour.
-
Sorry but I disagree. Dont get me wrong, it is not the kids fault, but I have seen nothing bright about this display what so ever.
-
Agreed, seems now that we not only watch ****e, we accept is as well.
-
I think we have been crud tbh, no threat what so ever. Even when we pass it about we end up giving it back to them rather than threaten their goal.
-
Smith with a great backpass to the defence....................their defence! ffs
-
Your given me the info before it happens on the stream, weird ****.
-
Oh well, not much you can do when the gods are not smiling on you. We are obviously cursed!
-
Brian O'Neil would'nt last 5 minutes on the pitch these days ffs.

Is there a full house to watch the public execution?
-
I think he is more upset about the demise of our football club that he helped put on the map don't you!
-
At least he does'nt have a broken ankle ala Gasmi when we signed him

I hardly think that LM stating we need a couple of quality players in the side is an archaic view do you?. Basically sundance, anyone who is anti lowe gets your back up. Perhaps you need to hear the words of le god on ssn today, I suppose you think his views are archaic as well. Our best manager since LM is Strachan do you not agree, proven by your comments regarding the 2003 cup final. Shame that we did not push on from that, but of course, as we all know, Strachan left not long after for his hip operation........................................NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same sort of sentiments Lawrie Mac expressed in a interview recently but totally lost by many on here and probably Lowe for that matter. I feel the same MOG along with feeling utterly helpless. I get angered by those who see it as over reacting, bed wetting, its only football, get a life, etc etc, they forget that for many of us it has been a big factor in our lives since when we could barely walk. I am nearly 52 and started watching and supporting saints at the age of 6 when I use to go to the choco box and stand on a beer crate to watch the games. I have seen it all at sfc, good and bad, but I cannot remember feeling as low as this as far as saints are concerned. Unfortunately that feeling of pure frustration and depression seems to cross over into other parts of your life as well. I firmly believe that a feel good factor is generated throughout a town or city if the local team is doing well as was proven by the 76 fa cup win. The only thing I can offer to cheer you up is, your not the only one. Btw, was it a good port as I too have a weakness for the stuff!

I am not sure if I want to witness a public execution! -
Lawrie McMenemy's red and white army!

A great read. What LM said makes perfect sense. Do we have any violinist's in our squad now?

Thanks TT and Ron, And thanks for the memories.

Really struggling with putting a saints side together for this one or any other game for that matter, we are lacking in every department except perhaps in goal, and that even depends on whether Davis is on the way out or not. Lets face it, this going to be purely damage limitation as other posters have pointed out above.

Looks useful if he can stay fit, seems to have the touch of Bale about him. Hopefully as St Landrew points outs, Skacel will move up to left midfield which is his best position.
