We tried and but for a little more up front we could have won easily. Gutted they have won again but all shall change soon. Just one thing I have noticed though, Lallana frustrates the hell out of me, I like him and I think he is tricky but in front of goal his efforts are really weak. But overall, well done saints, the effort cannot be faulted.

MK Dons Build Up Thread - It's a sell-out, folks!

Got to agree with this DB, our form seems to be slipping and they are well capable of turning us over. Too many on here think it is a done deal. Hopefully AP can get stuck into them and make them up their performance, if they turn up playing like they have in the last couple of league games we can say goodbye to Wembly. -
My take is to drop the players who are underperforming and suffering a lack of form, Lallana being one of them, it is in their best interests and the teams. I dont get this continual playing of players who are out of touch hoping that they will play themselves back into form. A few matches on the bench will soon bring the form back. Even RL may benefit from a a few matches on the bench as it is plain to see that his effectiveness has dropped probably from being overplayed and as a loan striker.

Saints .v. sailor boys game; Very Disappointed

TT, I think some on here are jealous that you live in the sunshine mate away from this beautiful country of ours and for that reason you are not deserving of getting to see your team once in a while. Glad to see that there are a few that still honour the values of camaraderie. Hope you get your tickets TT. -
Perhaps we are buying too many mediocre players when just one or two quality players would suffice.

The trouble is that other sides seem to be more stronger as a unit. On paper we should be coasting it but in reality we are having difficulties. Too many new faces trying to bed in at the same time, too many hoofballs in order to bypass a weak midfield.
-
I hope for once we can settle scores. Roy Keane deserves everything we can muster against him tomorrow the arrogant ****.

Fonte, what a find, best player on the park by far. I also thought James had a really good game and was unlucky not to score at the end. Lallana was dissapointing for me and looked a little like he did last year, lots of endeavor but no end result. Our midfield still needs strengthening along with another forward who can keep RL company. Plus if RL gets injured, as noted by one of the commentators, we are in deep poo. Go to be the worst ref I have witnessed in a long time, how we managed to win despite him god knows.

Hopefully it will remain peaceful on here for a while as it means saints are doing well. I do miss the takeover threads though!

How long will you give Pardew to get a second win?
Saint Billy replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Jeese, how long do we have to wait for any kind of fix let alone a quick fix. Ok, we are no longer broke as a club but despite everything we are still a club that cannot produce a run of good results. Be patient, stop whinging, give them time, these words are wearing thin after 4/5 years of going through watching this team constantly churn out ****e results. -
Despite who was at the game and who was'nt, it is very simple to form an opinion based on results. The amount if times I have heard "If we keep playing like that we will win more than we lose", complete and utter b*llicks, at the end of the day we are routed to the bottom of the table and even without the -10 we are still very close. I dont give a monkeys nut about that we are still gelling, Pardews finding his feet or even the -10, we should be at least showing signs of the wealth and support behind this club, but no, we are carrying on the same way as when we were in the championship. This vehicle saints has had a major overhaul, basically a new engine, and yet it still chugs away just like it always did. I was expecting some sort of saints revival this season, I was hoping for some exciting appointments and playing staff, I was hoping that saints climb up the table was being noticed by the media, but no, different setup, same old limp dross.

Lets face it, despite all the optimism of a new owner, new manager etc, the actual team are still as crap as they have ever been. I dont think enough money has been spent on this side to be good enough to escape relegation let alone a mid table outfit. There are no excuses now, we have the funds, we are debt free, we have a great stadium and training facilities, and we are still S H I T E !

I thinks Notts C are the front runners! -
Levitation has been adopted by saints as the way to beat their lack of height in the box. Unfortunately, as this picture proves, by the time Trotman had reached the desired height the ball had passed him by.
