  1. Back again, must be pigeons on the line!
  2. Hampshire whites for petes sake!!
  3. Common saints and get 2 and shut Lorimer up for god sake!
  4. No, there is an ale in Kent called Spitefire although I do prefer HSB from Horndean but cannot get it here. I have heard of a Snakebite with half cider and half lager but not Spitefire although they sound equally potent, nice.......!
  5. Spent 6 years abroad and only came back 6 months ago and have had my share of ale since. Must admit that I missed it too. Spitefire is not bad.
  6. Kent, +5 degree's. Contemplating popping open a can of Stella but don't want to spoil me spag on toast so may save it for the matchday thread. Looking forward to a trip down to Dungeness tomorrow if the weather holds firm at +5 and cloudy.
  7. Rent it to poopey?
  8. And a white coat.
  9. Amazing how GM whom apparently goes to all the games, lives locally, has a local business etc, is one of the biggest ****e stirrer's on here.
  10. I still want to be a happy clapper every time I see your avatar!
  11. One thing you can say about GM apart from the obvious is that he really knows how to get a reaction. I was an ex pat but have since moved back but at the time the only thing I missed about the UK was my team. This site and the previous was a god send and kept me in touch with what was happening and what the fans where thinking and saying including the same old provocative GM rants back then.
  12. That is my concern, not a fire sale as such, but we have a few players in there who may not want another season in this league.
  13. Mood seems a bit flat this morning. As others whom have posted above, if we cannot be consistent with the team we have now, how the hell are we going to get promotion next season let alone this one, and that is assuming that we keep our best players until then. I do wonder if the likes of Lambert, Fonte, Barnard etc have been sold the story that we will definately gain promotion this season hence one of the factors why they joined us and not a club in a higher league. Yes good salaries help , but will these guys want to stay in this crap league another season. If they do up and go what, chance have we got next season.
  14. Stopped taking your pills GM?
  15. It seems that no matter who manages us, owns us, plays for us, supports us, we are and always have been inconsistent. It is a disease we have had for many a long time and one we have still not shaken off. We seem to have this ability of making life really difficult for ourselves. Yes, life is a lot brighter for us now with the new owners and the old school all removed etc, but what is it about us that stops us from setting the world on fire. Answers on a post card please!
  16. Why do I always expect more from saints and yet they still serve out the same old inconsistent **** that they always have.
  17. If we lose or draw tonight then we can well and truly say goodbye to promotion this season. I think we will win though.
  18. Cannot see on the BBC predictor our away game at Brighton. I had us scraping through on the last game only to realise that us and brighton had not played.
  19. Well done boys, we still have an outside chance if we can keep winning and the teams above show some inconsistency.
  20. Who owns the land at Farton park?
  21. Jury is out for me on this, Waigo for me has the same flaw in his game as Lallana and that is in front of goal. Don't get me wrong, both have huge potential, but someone needs to show them how to put the ball in the back of the net especially when there is only the goalkeeper to beat. The reason we lost yesterday is because these two did not finish very good chances.
  22. I must be the only one here then truly missing something with Lallana. I thought Lallana's endeavor and effort were faultless and he gave his all 100%, but for all his hussle and bussle and little bits of trickery he was not that effective in front of goal. His shots are more often than not scuffed or very weak and sometimes he can be selfish in front of goal when he could of passed to another player in a better position. We all love a guy who shows commitment to the cause and someone who shows true emotion with the pain of being beaten, but I do think some of us think he is better than he really is at the moment. He does have a lot of potential but lets not over hype the guy. The one bit of magic that the pompey sub produced for their first goal was better than anything Lallana did all game.
  23. yep, agreed.
