I really didn't see many signs of A Armstrong refinding his level back in the championship. Lots of effort and energy but still no real threat.

Warming to the manager for sure. Difficult to gauge this team as it will no doubt look a lot different by the end of the transfer window. A good win though and a positive start for once.

It’s not just getting the manager over the line though is it. Probably half the squad will be leaving and replacements will need to be found that fit in with the yawn ball possession style that Martin will introduce. All that coupled with recent staff changes at the top means there is a lot to put in place and surely the manager should already be there getting established at the club and preparing for next season.

After last seasons performance and playing in that god awful kit can we just go back to basics and back to stripes.

Let’s face it, if we are going to get numerous free kicks near and around the box he is a great asset, other than that he really doesn’t offer much else. He doesn’t take on players and rarely picks out penetrating passes, so in reality he is a luxury than we can ill afford and by no means is he captain material. It’s time for him to go.

I suppose it was too much to ask SR to give us free flowing attacking football. This just sounds like more of the same drab, gutless, mind numbing shit we have already been served up but with a different label.
