Against a very poor 10 man side we looked good . The extra space in midfield made prowse look effective. Davis as usual offered nothing and we improved when he went off but there was space to spare . Norwich losing a man took out their attack so our defence could push further forward . The result flattered us . Had Norwich not had the sending off I feel the result would have been very different. We are still a shadow of our team last season . Juamni getting on was great but should have more time . Martina coming on made little sense when Norwich were showing no attacking threat . Big plus was Romeu dominating but once again he had the space to do it

We are such a nothing team now . Average sums it up . Commentary just mentioned that we sold 128 million in players in the last 15 months and our team now only cost 42 million . They said it shows how far we have fallen and that its unsustainable

Les Reed is in charge of recruiting the replacements though . He has failed miserably so far this transfer period .

Selling players is fine . We should be looking at quality replacements though . Koeman surely has approved the rubbish we have now bought unless Les Reed has chosen them based more on price

Tbf Pelle doesn't often successfully do that either . I would happily get rid if we had a decent replacement. Someone said he was a consistent goal scorer . Really ? He misses alot more often than he scores . Consistent is the wrong word . Average is more accurate.

Surely you're being sarcastic ? Cedric doesn't seem to have any attributes for a wide defender at all . Watching Lukaku run past him was frightening .

To be fair you are right , Pelle was more mobile and effective against Newcastle than last season . I'm basing my opinion over last season though . Hopefully coaching has improved his game and this season may show us a much improved player .

Pointless flicks which work once in 20 attempts don't count as creating chances . Pelle doesn't compare to Lambert in terms of creating chances as he lacks the vision and is too one dimensional. Is it a standard thing on this forum to insult anyone with a different opinion ?

Saints look awful atm . Our midfield is non existent and defence is poor . Targett keeps pushing too far forward and Cedric is going to get sent off at this rate along with Tadic . We have no spine at all . Start of the season and we still have no decent CB and midfield

Completely disagree with this . How say the opposite really . How many useful passes does he make ? Often goes for the sideways or backwards pass as he lacks the confidence or vision to make an incisive through ball . Loses possession constantly and panics anywhere with in 20 yards of the box . Playing him as an attaching midfielder seems very odd as he lacks the creativity or drive to do anything useful . Often fails to track back after losing the ball in dangerous areas. Its interesting how fans see certain players totally differently . I think he gets game time due to a lack of options in the squad .

So he is exactly the same as Pelle who cost loads more yet Pelle is useless at free kicks, rarely creates , doesn't take penalties .... Boy didn't we get a good deal out of this Would expect Lambert to out score Pelle this season as well

I think we are his level . No better team than us would want him , certainly at his age . He is very prone to diving in and giving away free kicks around and in the box
