  1. He had that one run into the box where the ball went out for a goalkick due to good defending, but otherwise has produced nothing of note.
  2. Cracking header, cracking save. 👎
  3. Vest, Rom, and Armstrong with v.decent starts.
  4. Question: was the high-line in any way responsible for how good we looked attacking during the first half?
  5. Barely jumped.
  6. Scratch that. He can be a statue all day
  7. I've thought as much in other games (as well as today), but wasn't sure if I was imagining it. Maybe we've been spoilt with Ing's/Long's work-rates.
  8. Whilst Danso hasn't been all that, he was effectively 2 on 1. He marks Son, people jump on the fact he's let Ali clean through on goal, and vice versa. The bigger issue was all the nonsense tackling that allowed Lo Celso to run half the pitch. We haven't cut out their counter attacks all game.
  9. That is *mental*
  10. Cracking result. Stephens MOTM for me, which is something I wouldn't have thought I'd be saying any time soon. Armstrong channeling his inner-Steven Davis is great/exciting to see Not to mention his inclusion seems to be giving us an extra body in the centre of the park at times.
  11. Ralph averages 1.15 points a game, Hughes 0.77. That's about a 50% increase. Ralph needs to improve, sure, but Hughes was next level dogsh*t.
  12. Ralph definitely needs to be more proactive with his changes....give (bench) players a decent chance to affect the game.
  13. No, I'm suggesting we're going to be **** regardless of the manager. But yeah, Ralph is better than Hughes (who couldn't even average a point a game).
  14. Yeah, the problem with that is that we'll still have Stephens, PEH, Vestergard, Cedric, Redmond, Bertrand, Bednarek, Romeu, and Long floating around the first team (some of who are out of form, but most of who are not of the standard we need).
  15. Shocking first half. Armstrong for PEH (permanently!). Obafemi for Redmond. SomeoneWhoGivesAF**k for Bertrand.
  16. Redmond shaking his head Playing well doesn't get you tactically subbed.
  17. Likewise. He's made some fairly questionable decisions this year, but this team is bottom 6 *whoever* the manager is, and will eventually have a bottom 3 season. Almost every position on the pitch is lacking in some capacity...there aren't many strong points on an individual level - most of these players would probably get by in a Prem squad if there were 3/4 quality players to base them around, but there simply aren't anymore.
  18. Was a goal saving/vital touch.
  19. In defense of the defence....they barely get a break from the pressure, as the ball rarely sticks up top.
  20. Feckin CBs are sooooo flat footed.
  21. Jesus, that got out of hand. I turned off after 2-0 before Vestergard could decide to help Burnley further by slamming the ball into our net This season is going to be a ongoing battle between playing 3 CBs, and 2 CBs, with the end result probably being largely the same, i.e. getting d*cked. God knows what we should do. At the very least, Yoshida needs to come in, and I'd have McCarthy over Gunn personally. I suppose a JWP/Hoj/Rom midfield would be mobile and solid enough, whilst allowing greater support for the front 3. On the plus side, decent first half.
  22. Does this service also cover every Saints game? (cheers in advance)
  23. Have people moved away from Saintsplayer then? If so, why? I was just about to subscribe (again), but the suggestions above has given me reason to pause.
  24. 'Historically', has the Saints twitter feed always been quick to curtail any expectations immediately after the window closes?
  25. Overall, he was an okay signing (although the degree to which he was taking the **** with his fitness seems to be on a parabolic trend). My only concern is that we're now lacking someone in the dressing room who is prepared to kick opposing goalkeepers in the face.
