+1 I have the app for this on my phone and find it very useful for helping maintain weight when doing a lot of training. I know a few others who are using it to help with weight loss and it's really working for them too.

I use inSSIDer on the PC for this, also available for Mac http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/

I've had a Humax Foxsat HDR for a few years now. I've been happy with it. The HD is good on the few HD channels on Freesat. The worst thing about the Humax for me is that the remote responsiveness isn't the greatest, but I've got used to the lag over time. If you get a brand new box then make sure you peel off the thin protective film from the front flip panel (it's very thin and not obvious it's there unless you scratch away at the edges looking for it), and then remove the second protective film covering the LCD and remote sensor behind the flip panel (even less obvious), otherwise the remote control will be very directional and not work off-centre. HD recordings can fill up the drive pretty quickly, so once it was out of warranty I replaced the standard 320GB drive with a 1TB drive as per this guide: http://www.astra2d.com/harddrive.html and installed customised firmware to enable it for network storage / media server, as per http://www.avforums.com/forums/freesat/1517610-media-file-server-bundle-foxsat-hdr-release-4-0-a.html

Same again. Also worth noting for those who set up Hotmail on their iPad/iPhone Mail app in the olden days as a POP3 account, Hotmail now supports ActiveSync (MS Exchange protocol), so if you re-add your Hotmail account you'll get properly sync'd Hotmail folders in your Mail app instead of the one POP3 Inbox.

Did you sort this out yet? There will be a Freesat setting where you can specify your postcode, from that it sets up which default regional channels to use. The Bravia should have prompted you during setup when you first chose satellite. There should also be a menu you can access to change the postcode.

I'd also like to say Yaris - my sister had one for a few years and it was reliable and cheap to run and insure - but at £1000 you'd be looking at the worst available examples only, so maybe not such a good idea. If you're already considering a Polo then could be worth adding Skoda Fabia to the list?

I doubt you'll get to find out, as they'll probably all have been hoofed over hedges and lost by the end of pre-season. 8-[

Lol. The A3 is all but 'another Golf'.

The 'powerbar' design is quite good for that: http://www.ukfitnesssupplies.co.uk/productdetail.asp?productcatalogue=POWERBAR I used one for about a year and it worked well. Then I moved house last year and all of our doorways are in room corners or the doors open the wrong way, which means I don't get to use it any more. So if anyone in Southampton wants one on the cheap... Agree with that - I've known a few ex army and ex pro sportsmen, who all became fatsos once they moved into 'ordinary' jobs.
-
Agree with your point on most of those - but "businessman" - What did you mean by that? I meet plenty of people that you could deem to be 'business men' who are successful in business without having been to university.
-
So do I. So this better still be on regardless of the weather...
-
Probably. Will confirm later in the week.

Ok you can put me down as a yes then, as it looks like there's at least a 4-a-side worth of definites now...

x2 And no, I'm not marrying The9. Would like to play a bit of football but might just go for a run instead, as that doesn't rely on other people actually turning up.

Lungs, that might be the best offer you get...

I would if it's on, but I'm assuming it won't be?

Was the replacement an offical Dell power supply or a third party unit? In my experience having used several Dell laptops over recent years, and occasionally borrowing a workmate's power supply, Dell laptops expecting a more powerful psu recognise when a 65W psu has been plugged in, and the battery gets charged more slowly (or not at all in some cases if the psu is only enough to keep the machine running), they don't draw more power overheating the psu. That's what would happen when using a 65W Dell psu with my old Inspiron 9200 (very similar spec 17" to the 9400), if you haven't wiped the Dell drivers then Windows would even give you a little system tray icon to confirm what charger you've plugged and that it's charging at a slower speed. If you see this icon then you should be fine. I wouldn't like to comment on what might happen with non Dell power adapters though as I've no idea if they'll behave the same.

You're assuming that Robsk's 100 trophies are for football? I think he'll take that as a compliment.

The ultrasonic cat scarers ( eg http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=ultrasonic+cat+repellent ) do seem to work, with two problems I have found though: - if you live in a particularly cat infested area like me then the batteries only seem to last a couple of months - so I buy the batteries in bulk eg http://www.battery-force.co.uk/category-9V-9V_Batteries.html - they only detect cats passing through the horizontal plane that the device is mounted at, so if you have one mounted on your lawn then it should keep them off of your lawn, but if the cats can get from fence to tree to birds without touching your lawn, then you'll want another one mounted up at fence level or some other method to keep them out. Emptying a bucket of water at them whilst they're perched on the fence seems to persuade them not to return for a while, allegedly. This site has some more 'creative' ideas: http://tinyurl.com/ybm4z7s

Looks like five people max between this and the Facebook thread, so I'm going to go for a run instead. Cheers for trying anyway...

Have done this a couple of times but not for a few years now. The last one I used was http://www.itagg.com/ and at the time their services were the best we could find although they weren't the cheapest. We did make contact with at least one carrier but it wasn't technically feasible and like Gemmel I can't remember why now. What volume of messages are you looking at sending out - I presume this is for WW? Business-wise my client would have needed to have been sending several thousand SMS messages per day for it to be viable to go direct to a carrier, although I expect bulk prices will have dropped a lot in recent years so it may be different now.

What happened last week, did Calvin crock everyone so there's not enough left to start a thread this week?

You're probably referring to http://espionage007.co.uk/edinburgh/ Was great when I went there although that was five and a half years ago. Would also recommend going out to comedy nights.
