F*cking typical isn't it! Could just cry sooooo p*ssed off right now. Not even just because of the loss but because of the fact that City, Chelsea and Spurs are ALL out!!! If we'd managed to stay in then we would surely have been top couple of odds to win the f*cking thing! :x Arrrrgh can we please stop being so sh*t in the cups some day! Pretty please! Feels like a long time since the away win at Arsenal in the league cup Really really annoyed by that. Good god. But grudgingly, fair play to Pards and Palace, was a very good win for them, and Its better than going out to Sheffield Utd or mothf*cking Sundersh*te that's for sure. And, at least Spurs, Chelsea and City are all out, especially Chelsea after Mourinho's comments about losing to Bradford and Poch's attitude to the cups. Anyway, the team can now focus on the top four, much to the delight of the strange fans that really wanted us to not win any silverware in favour of tricky champions league qualifier against an eastern european team. And just a point to those that think the CL is the bees knees, looking at our cup record historically, and especially when we're supposed to be the dog's b*llocks this season, how do you think we'll do when we get to the CL? I bet you, that we will go out like a damp squib. Saints just don't do cups!

Technically not true the BEST thing for us would be for US to have won the league by the time we play them so we have nothing to play for Seriously though as crazy as it is we could overtake them for a bit! The opportunity is there! This is such a weird season!

I did the smart prediction (based on relative team strengths) and got: D 1-1 W 1-4 W 2-1 W 2-0 W 1-2 W 2-0 L 1-0 W 2-1 W 0-2 W 2-0 W 0-4 W 3-0 W 0-3 W 0-3 W 4-0 L 3-2 We'd win the title with that run surely would definitely take the 2-0 and 3-0 home wins over liverscouse and spuds respectively!

Nailed on surely. Arsenal Home, Utd away, Newcastle away, all whilst conceding 1 goal and scoring 5. Plus no other team has won three this month.
-
He was even doing that face he did after he scored at Swansea, the super intense "don't MESS with me motherf*cker!" face. The nutritionists were like "No Victor, its not part of a healthy diet, you'll win at Old Trafford before we let you have pizza! Now that's the end of it!"...

 this is the one

boysboysboys 20 minutes lets do this!
-
Elia just made Jones look a right mug. Could be something good for us.
-
Maybe if we beat Utd today, Clyne and JayRod will be a lot closer to signing, considering the position that would put us in.
-
Lets not get ahead of ourselves here.... but holy sh1t balls imagine that But anyone can do it right? It just requires a little luck, some consistent performances, good defence and some excellent players. all of which we've had so far, though if anything we've had less luck so far. Lets just enjoy the ride, take it game by game and see where we end up Technically yeah, we could win the league And also, in terms of spurs winning being a bad result, not really, at the end of the day, as long as we win, it doesn't matter what else happens if we're in front. Amazing day anyway, so bloody happy about that!
-
As unlikely as that is now, after us being linked with him earlier, wouldn't it be delicious if we pinched him now but never going to happen in a million years! Still, we can dream
-
Feel exactly the same way. The game at the Emirates was such a frustrating night. Such bad luck. I had such a god view of that fecking goal as well! Agree with all your points, we're definitely in the best position to beat them at home, we just need that rub of the green and for our boys to play like they have in the last games. We're on form, we need to do this and we can do this!
-
Well we're getting into the business end of the season now. We're in a fantastic position (4th) but the big dogs have started to catch up in points and are improving their performances. We've had a sticky patch but we're still here which is brilliant, and the result against Chelsea is massive in hopefully helping the team with some belief that we can dance with the big boys for real. Hoping we can trash Arsenal on New Years, we need those points if we have any hope of CL. As mentioned above by someone, big 6 pointer. But, this is a winnable game, and now we've come back from the bad patch with 3 excellent results and 3 excellent performances, as RK said, the team seems to have learned from the bad run. Anyway, brilliant 2014, here's hoping we smash 2015 out the park. The next couple of games will be massive, and then we settle down for the long haul until the end of the season! This is the big one, this is the long stretch, this is where you really find out what you're made of, Arsenal last season were title pushers all of the first half of last season and then collapsed in the second half. We need to show our mettle and seize this amazing opportunity to finish 4th (the opportunity being the sh*tty seasons of the big boys). We can do this: we've already done it in fact (played 19 games and 4th). We just need to do it again in the replays. There is no reason we can't get 4th again in the next 19 games. Lets do this. COYR! We March On!

This. Always keep an eye on them, would love them to come up and reckon they could sneak a second season here too! Could be a surprise package!
-
Very chuffed with the result today! That's more like it! Now hopefully we can take the 3 points of the Arse in the next one! Anyway for me: Players Best player - Morgan Best signing - Pelle (but hard to choose) Worst player - Mayuka Worst Signing - Taider Best goal - Clyne at Arsenal Games Best team we've played - Man City Best player we have faced - Aguero Worst team we've played - Sunderland Worst player we have faced - Mannone Best Saints performance - Everton possibly. Maybe the Arsenal away league cup win too (going from 1-0 down to come back and win it a the emirates). Worst Saints performance - Sheff Utd The Premier League To win - Chelsea To go down - Leicester, Palace, Burnley Other team which has over performed - West Ham Other team which has under performed - Scouse (Liver and Ever) Best player - Sanchez for me. Kept Arsenal up in the CL mix when arguably they shouldn't be, and he has the power to win matches and take hold of games. Incredible player, amazing to watch. Worst player - Lovren, he's been atrocious, and even better, he had a massive amount of expectation and fanfare about his ability, which makes it even better/worse
-
Supposed to be Walter White from Breaking Bad I would imagine. And Wanyama's costume could well be a way for him to get over his experience and have a joke about it! Shows he has strong character, definitely the one that made me laugh the most!
-
This would be amazing. Would shut everyone up haha. Maybe 4-0, brace each for Long and Mane, each setting the other up for the goals.
-
Holy f*cking Chr1st, as if! I'm as gutted as anyone but its clearly just a run of bad form and bad luck, much like last season (eerie). We will pull ourselves out of it. Everton home game, lets do this. COYR.
-
We've lost more games than Newcastle who everyone was laughing at at the start of the season and who have beaten City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool. We are on a bad run now, and as an optimist, I am lost for words after tonight. Really really ****3d off after that. Got tickets to the Everton game with some friends as I'm back home for Christmas. I hope we're in for a real come back game. This is a must win now, based on the games we have coming up. Come on Koeman, I really like ya pal, but you've got to buck it up. Last time we had four league losses in a row was 08/09 Championship... last time we had 5 was the start of the 98/99 season. The starting 11 is still enough to win this Everton game, I don't think Koeman is going to take this lightly and the boys will be fired up to return to form at home after all this b.s. We need to get behind the team at the weekend, lets do this, COYR, the rot stops here!
-
This exactly! As long as we don't get relegated (and ideally come about 8th or so) I'd much rather win a cup!
-
Yeah I'm aware of that, but I'm saying that isn't what interests me about it. The cup itself is the prize and would be fantastic! I'm not fussed about Europe yet, and I don't think we'd be ready for it. Like Les said, over the next 5 years that is the goal, it doesn't need to be this season. I'd rather win some silverware, gradually build the status and quality of the team and then eventually start to qualify for Europe. League or FA cup is what its all about for us that's something tangible that would be amazing
-
We have a good opportunity for a response now. Cup game soon which we should be able to get back to winning in. Really need an "easier" game right now (don't give me a load of spiel about it not being easier, it is, and we need it). That would set us up for a home game against a struggling (compared to their usual selves) Everton side. So its not a bad position to be in. We will be 5th when we face Everton which is good, so we can push on and try and maintain our position. Personally, I am much more excited about the prospect of the League Cup than European qualification. I'd much rather win something than get into Europe, even if it was Champions league. Lets get our frustration out, try not to be too reactionistic and pick ourselves up for the cup game. We march on!
-
COme on boys. Please put one of these away. This is what happened to Arsenal! Utd hung on and then got suckered! We need to learn from that and put this to bed! We have the chances! We just need to bury them! Come on boys come on!!!!
-
Mane is tearing them apart, its chaotic! I can completely see why he's in the team! He just needs that extra skill in the final third to actually score some goals with the amazing chances he creates!
-
FFFFFFFFs we're playing so much better than them!!!! We need to get some quality in the final 3rd and we have this by the f*ckin nuts! Sooooo f*cking frustrated by that early goal. We should f*ckin have this! Come on saints, lets tear these Manc f*cknuts a new one! Sounds like a brilliant atmosphere as well. Hope that helps the boys. We neeeed this!
