Started very well with some great movement especially between Tadic and Cedric. Shame he went off with an injury as we tended to lose that once Martina came on who's been relatively shaky. Most of, if not all, Leicesters chances have come from us relatively shooting ourselves in the foot. If we carry on the next half like we started then we should get 3 points here.

Not sure why so many are on Martina's back, he was the only player that was making willing runs that would end up with a delivery into the box. Many of the offsides were due to players not passing quick enough or being on the same wave length, however the times it did happen.. no body was in the box. Yes he did make some sloppy passes and maybe wasn't as strong in the ball as he should of..but then again wasn't the whole team like that? Overall I think it was a good clean sheet for a side that are not used to travelling large distances and playing European football and sets us up nicely to take them on at home. Get in there Charlie, isn't it great when you have a striker that's on form and can finish! One opportunity, in a very very very boring game.. but boy does he know how to use it. I still refrain we can do better than this against this team and need to be careful with some of the challenges. Referee looks as if he has an itchy red card finger. But all round terrible game with terrible passing. Please, please lighten up this next half.. preferably on the Saint's side of things. Best attacking has been down the left wing, Bertrand has only really been the bright spark.

Refereeing has been atrocious. We've not been at our best by a long shot, can do so much better than this. Passing and crossing been very poor. Come on Saint's, can only do better than this. Can see Romeu getting a red though..

The bias in which Sky talk about West Ham is really grinding my gears, every promotion is about West Ham and how they look to get back on track.. not one mention of Southampton. For Christ sake they talk West Ham up as the better team when we have finished higher then them for the past few seasons.

Saints been very much on the back foot thus so far in this one, with Spurs mounting on the pressure and making it hard for Saints to get out of their half. If Hesketh keeps up what he has shown here then Tadic and Boufal better start worrying... what an unbelievable half from the lad. The through balls he has put through have been pin point and he should be on three assists if Long, Austin and Martina's finishing were that slight bit better.

It's just pathetic. We lose a few games at the start of a very competitive a Premier League and the heads drop. This is not a time for moaning, this is a time for getting behind Southampton FC, who are probably having their best run in decades. If you cannot do that, then I am afraid good riddance. Could the player rumoured for 10 mill be Ignacio Camacho, defensive midfielder from Malaga? He's rumoured to be available for that price, but heavily linked with West Brom.. however I feel he is too good for a club like them myself and we could easily get in ahead of them if we offered the same. If that's the case he better show he is worth it considering the faith the clubs putting in him. He played awful yesterday. Want to see him back to his best, with pride for the Saints.

What a bunch of whiney, pessimistic ****s the, unfortunate, majority of you are. If it wasn't for the fact the domain name is Saintsweb then you wouldn't think this was a saints fan site. Get a grip guys, it's been one game. Which we believe it or not got a point from and was probably the better team. Not bad for a side that's just changed manager and system, it'll take a couple to get back in the sway of things. After all we are Southampton not Barcelona.
