  1. Gabbiadini is on the bench tonight.
  2. Now this is the last thing we need.. VVD injured.
  3. Is this inside information? If so, please elaborate.
  4. Probably doesn't help when your brother calls your manager a ******.
  5. A unsuccessful cross, one that doesn't meet a player from the same team who delivered the cross.
  6. Niklas Süle (21 years old, 6 ft 5"), in my opinion, is the better of the two CB's at Hoffenheim.
  7. In. But did take some serious thought as part of me, perhaps my passionate side, was telling me no. But I decided to think rationally; rather then let my heart take over. The next set of fixtures are really where we can see whether Puel is up to the job, or if he has lost the team altogether. This is an important period, as we are playing some rather easy fixtures and will be the test if you ask me. Premier league: Burnley away (Sat 14 Jan); Leicester home (Sun 22 Jan); Swansea away (Tue 31 Jan); West ham home (Sat 4 Feb) and Sunderland away (Sat 11 Feb). If we do not show a dramatic change in style of play and general attacking display; then we have a serious issue and a change of manager will be needed (I will want to see a change by at least the third game). I am hopeful Puel is up to the job, and hope we all eat some humble pie when we gain some confidence and start steam rolling the opposition. For me this is a confidence issue, as at the moment there is a massive cloud over Saint Mary's and we are just waiting for it to clear up.
  8. Just pathetic really. We just are tame and very mediocre at the moment. Go down one and we lose are heads, the scary thing is I literally can guarantee we have lost at that point and that's what scares me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I know they have had one extra days rest, but am I right in saying they have made only two changes?
  10. That basically says what I would say if I wasn't so disappointed right now. Can't see much happening in the near future, going to have to grind out a performance and get some momentum going in order to gain confidence. Here's hoping for some luck, because we sure need it right now.
  11. Our biggest problem was sitting off. When we were pressing them Spurs were perplexed and couldn't hold the ball. We then invited them on, they got a goal and got back in the game...and then we continued to invite them on and got a red card. I have faith Puel, but the playing style does need to be more positive as you can see it working when we actually do!!
  12. Other than that first 20 mins, after their goal we have been pretty terrible. The sending of just gives us an excuse for it. One to forget this, luckily the next games not too far away.
  13. We managed to catch Spurs of guard with that goal, which made them lose abit of confidence and we seemed to be in control and playing at them with fair.. however Spurs being Spurs got a lucky game (maybe our defense got lulled into a false sense of security with how bad Spurs were playing). We need to come out in the second the same way we started and get at them, defending of them and playing out for the counter will only invite pressure on and let Spurs get the 3 points.
  14. It's pretty clear what it is, most of you are just listening to your heart rather than your head. Which is understandable, but perhaps a little in denial? Saints are basically a victim of our own success and recruitment policy. We are able to find them rough diamonds and smooth them out to their full value, but during that time we reap the rewards from a player we probably couldn't afford if they started their career with Saints at the ability as it ended. We are still very much that plucky side that came up the divisions and are punching above their weight. Until we break into the top 6, which takes years upon years of success, we won't have that pulling power to keep held of players. It is just a truth we have to face, even if it is not what the fans like to believe. But really, we should be smitten where we are today and perhaps a section of our fans are becoming a bit too greedy with our relatively recent successes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm absolutely beaming after that one, more of that please please please. Hopefully now we have a striker that's in form and I couldn't be more pleased for Jay, one of my favorite Saints. He's looking fit and just needed that first goal to get his confidence back.
  16. PUT HIM UP FRONT!
  17. Some of you lot are so petty, like a bunch of school girls. We all know Heisenberg is what he is, not sure why you all bite on to the bait. He loves the attention. But moving onto Saints related issues, it is clear there is a problem with scoring and general positive attacking play under Puel's management. However the foundations in the defence are still very solid and are our only saving grace at the moment. If we manage to gain some confidence in attack, which I think plays a massive role, we will be back to how things used to be. Here's hoping this doesn't last for ever and things will change in the next few games. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Jay rod had to score that one too...
  19. Their fans really are a bunch of mutants aren't they. G
  20. Iago Aspas from Celta vigo? Currently on 9 goals for them in la liga. Willian Jose da Silva, 24 year old 6'1" striker for Real Sociadad.. also on 9 goals. Anthony Modeste, 28 year old 6"2 striker for FC Koln and has 12 goals in the Bundesliga (1 more than Lewandowski)
  21. Boufal you beaut. This is more like it Saints, attacking positive football. That's all we wanted to see, I'm loving us actually kicking the ball forward for a change. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. More of this please, keep it up and do NOT revert back. COME ON YOU SAINTS.
  22. What has happened to our football club? We have forgotten how to play football. All the life and excitement we once used to play with in attack has been sucked out, this is truly disappointing. Please, anything.. I just want my club back.
  23. Started the same **** again.. at home to borough. Come on the goal is the other way... get at them. It is pathetic.
  24. ****. Well... we all new it was coming. We just cannot score, very.. very poor. Haven't been this bored watching Saints in a while.
  25. We look so.. so.. so toothless.
