  1. I really hope Koeman unlocks the talent that Gaston very much possesses and that he can be integrated into the starting 11. He's a player that when playing at his top form can really wow. HOPE FOR GASTON.
  2. Already been beaten to this news mate, been mentioned in the Lovren transfer thread a couple of days ago!
  3. Aren't we a known bogey team for Liverpool? Could get a result here like last season.
  4. Would rather have any of Jean-Paul Boëtius, Daryl Janmaat, Stefan de Vrij, Terence Kongolo and Tonny Vilhena from Feyenoord.
  5. Just be patient Jesus Christ, it's not much to ask. I think you should also look into what a 'poison chalice' is, as you are using it in the wrong context.
  6. In my eyes, after just hearing what Les Reed just said in the interview, there is no way that Bruce would be top of the list. Just wouldn't make sense at all.
  7. I thought who ever took a chance on Luuk De Jong from Twente would have a great striker on their hands, but so far he hasn't really turnt up for Newcastle, nor did he for gladbach infact.
  8. Very good point, I'm sure we would have to pay a premium price for Feyenoord to be willing to let him go. Here's hoping he won't do a Osvaldo and say that the Premier League is too rough.
  9. Didn't Pelle join Feyenoord the beginning of last season for like £4,600,000 from Parma, therefore would he wanna leave after just one season and also how much would we have to pay for him?
  10. I see Kasper Schmichel just signed a new 4 year deal with Leicester. Shame wouldn't of minded him in a Saints shirt, but fair play.. alot of money and ambition going into that team.
  11. Clattenburg was right after all- he has changed!
  12. I don't see the need to sell Gaston at this moment. He's a player I still think has HUGE potential. Plus like others have stated selling before the world, when he hasn't had a great season, would be silly. However just goes to show his stock is high, considering the interest we are getting for him.
  13. They'll wait for everything to settle first and it'll be a job the new manager can take part in. That will be an even bigger PR win, shows the club is stable and the players are happy with the new manager. Doing it now, would be silly- what players going to sign a new contract without knowing who's going to be managing them?

    Monk's Corner

I think I see this situation as a father would to a son who had so much potential and just blew it. I'm not upset or angry, just really disappointed.
  15. As much as I would love to see him finish his career- or atleast spend 2 more seasons with the club, I really couldn't fault him leaving us for his boy hood club. Doesn't surprise me also, as we will most likely be buying a striker this transfer window.
  16. "Lukasz Fabianski rejects an offer from Arsenal to join Swansea on a 4 year deal"-SSN
  17. I am told via a friend who is a Basel fan that Yakin isn't that great. Tactically he couldn't fault him against the 'big' teams- like the victories over Chelsea. However he said most fans didn't like him due to his defensive football and the fact he didn't go out to win games that were in most cases winnable.
  18. Good article on Tuchel here- sounds like the is the guy for us in the aspect of team bonding: http://www.dw.de/rule-breaker-tuchel-leads-mainz-into-a-league-of-their-own/a-17503661
  19. Blaming Katherina at this early stage is just ridiculous. Just wait and see what happens, that is all we can do as a fan. No person is better than the club. We thought all was gone when Adkins got the sack, but look what happened the following season! We only went and probably had the best season a Saints fan has seen in a long, long time.
