  1. I will be glad when this is sorted one way or another. Its dragged on to long
  2. Season ended 13 days ago. If Tottenham wanted Mauricio, i assume he would have been approached by now? Slightly disappointed how things have worked out as it feels we are his 2nd choice now.
  3. Fantastic news. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed.
  4. Same. Wife and I renewed straight away
  5. This is a great point, one ive not seen mentioned or discussed elsewhere. I have seen a few posts saying not to worry about the future as KL has backed us since ML passed. However has she spent a single penny (yet)? or was NC simply been spending the trust £'s left by our Markus? Perhaps now and only now will we see how KL will operate and perhaps noises about self-funding suggests shes happy to continue ownership, but not to bankroll us or incur any expense herself?
  6. Finally some good news Congratulations Granddad
  7. The forum would benefit from a few more positive posts or threads. Does anyone have any good news to report?
  8. Then I will read your post(s) with confidence, sadly what you post is not music to my ears or what I want to believe. Was really hoping you were simply scaremongering without any genuine substance. Just now I’m looking for an insider poster with only good news
  9. Does the OP have a history or reputation of attention seeking or is he a genuine in the know poster?
  10. I would take Nicola Corteses' ambition and desire - but his contribution can only be successful with the finances and an owner who is willing to spend.
  11. How would we feel if Tottenham appoint say Frank De Boer or Roberto Mancini and only then Mauricio agrees a new contract with us? I believe some would feel like we were simply a second choice for him? The timing of events is key and perhaps Pochettino underestimates that?
  12. The OP has legitimate concerns and it now seems that the players and SFC staff share this apprehension. Not sure why so many have responded to the OP with detestation when concern over communication is now a common theme shared across the forum? Transparency was one of Ralph Krueger’s early commitments to the fans and given the level of media reports + Dodd and Williams + Nicola Corteses’ recent interview I would appreciate some comment from the owners or board. Without any comment the media and fans are being left to make there own assumptions and this is very unhealthy and significantly destabilising at such a delicate and crucial time. More than ever we need our club, owners, players and manager to reaffirm the much talked about unity and club spirit.
  13. I am still thinking positively on this one. I believe (hope) the club is trying to structure the club with elite throughout. The situation with Mauricio has left them in a tricky negotiating position, simply because we don’t have a ready made replacement similar to how Ajax seem to. In an ideal situation your youth and reserve managers are your next 1st team manager, perhaps the board are preparing for next time I mean no disrespect to Williams or Dodd but would they realistically be able to step up to the 1st team without impact and without any loss of continuity?
  14. We havent sold any players yet? What good would a protest do at this stage?
  15. Perhaps this is the Southampton way now? With Pochettino being linked with a move away perhaps Ralph Krueger was looking to promote from within? He may have taken guidance from Les Reed? about an appointment from within and was told, no Jason Dodd & Paul Williams are not suitable (not ready, perhaps ever) he has maybe said ok lets get rid then, we ultimately need to be better prepared next time our manager wants out? why keep youth managers that can never step up? Similar to Frank de Boer at Ajax. Started at youth level but ready to step into the no.1 spot with the same approach and methodology as Martin Jol before him. Makes sense? However the legal action perhaps makes this suggestion void.
  16. Perhaps this is all that’s happened? We have a manager under contract and players tied into long deals. So far its all paper talk and nothing more. Swansea were in the same predicament as us last summer, after an impressive league finish and cup win they had regular reports of a mass exodus. It never really happened. Relax until we hear more, just remember when Nicola left in January and we had similar sensationalised headlines everyday for the weeks following?
  17. Gives us hope. Big week or two coming up I feel
  18. Despite his record with Tottenham and his experience with the spurs academy id prefer we look elsewhere if Pochettino does move on. Tim's style of play and setup would better suit WBA? André Villas-Boas or Marcelo Bielsa would be better matches for us, but I do understand they have taken recent roles elsewhere. Wouldnt be against Michael Laudrup, recent stories about his squad attention and behaviour are a worry but his record is good and his style of play would allow us some continuity. This time last year he was very much in demand.
  19. Its much like poker. We need Tottenham to show their hand now.
  20. Highly rated and still only 27 years young. Fingers crossed
  21. Good advise.
