After todays game id have a serious look at Wilfried Zaha We need some pace and something a bit unpredictable. Zaha on one side, Tadic on the other and i think wed be ok Guess Townsend might also give us some spark

Poor game all in. Neither side created enough chances. Positives for us - clean sheet, Tadic, Bertrand, FF made one good save and looked composed, 1st point on the board Negatives - didnt create many chances, lack any cutting edge, supply to Pele was poor. Overall 6/10

If Townsend does sign you have to wonder if our world class scouting network is just Roy Hodgson GK coach Forster Long Bertrand Townsend Pelle and Tadic were clearly Koemans choice. Scouting network, worldwide?

I dont care if he had a release clause or not, neither am i claiming he did or didnt. Im just not ruling it out either. Might be wise to keep an open mind yourself? I dont think or claim that all players had release clauses, that would have been stupid of Cortese. However i dont rule out one or two. Is it completely infeasible that when Chambers signed last summer (aged 18 ) that his parents didnt insist on a top 4 club release clause? Perhaps it was a condition that he himself insisted on? I wouldnt rule it out. Players talk and maybe (just maybe) one got it into the contract and then others wanted similar? Would be prudent for the club to keep quiet if so?

Agents will talk, as i assume Chambers agent did. However the club dont need to further advertise foolish release clauses that perhaps Cortese agreed?
