We are ALL super confident, but we all celebrated that Spurs winner
-
It will be scoffed at on here but I've almost exclusively bet against us (home and away) the past few seasons. Alongside betting on Liverpool most weeks + some big one off wins when we have led 2-0 (Chelsea / Wolves) & the Liverpool champions league top up when they were 3-0 down to Barcelona I'm easily c£25-30k up If (when) Liverpool win the league and if Portsmouth and/or Leeds get promoted I'll pick up more. Today's result will hopefully hurt Villa but I'll have the standard insurance bet ready n waiting just in case.

A few more VAR decisions and shocking last minute defending will help us nicely. Engels MOTM
-
Lovely jubly Villa blew it
-
Got same (4/1) for Burnley yesterday
-
Var Var Var 1-2 spurs (Pen rebound)
-
Get in 1-1! Against run of play too.
-
"Cut adrift" villa are (as it stands) 3 points behind us and with a better goal difference. They play us next.
-
Spurs win please.

Leeds were reported to have offered £20m with conditions of promotion. So it's not impossible. He's 23 and scored 22 championship goals last season.
-
If we can move him on I'd take a genuine look at Rangers Alfredo Morelos His work rate is similar to Ings and he knows how to score goals. Yes it's the Scottish league but he is a stand out player and I'm confident he'd succeed in the EPL
-
Better! While Carrillo got less chance with us, he's never really delivered at any club. Che scored 22 last season for an average Championship club. He has something, just maybe not ideally setup for the EPL
-
You could say that about 99.9% of all Twitter "trolls" not exclusive to Saints fans It's even same on here. I get abuse and threatening PMs but when I invite them to meet face to face they back off quicker than an Italian tank. The internet is perfect for wannabe hard men and snowflakes
-
He hasn't been given 5 mins at the end of a game. He's been given over 900 minutes or the equivalent of 10 full games this season.
-
I'd maybe look to shift him in the summer. Doesn't have the work rate of Long or the goals of Ings. Can't see him suddenly getting a regular run without injuries. Plenty of players have smashed the championship but struggled with the EPL. No shame and suspect we'd recover what we paid for him.

Shane has been consistently used by our last 5-6 managers. There is a reason for that. I'd focus energy on selling a few others before ditching Shane Long. The whole high press tactic relies on defending from the front. Where Shane lacks goals he does help us win the ball back alot. Long with goals is Ings, but another Ings would cost us £30-40m and even then I've not seen many sensible suggestions on who.

West Brom striker Charlie Austin calls Southampton fan a 'cheeky c***' https://mol.im/a/8008465
-
Fans like to give it out but struggle when they get anything back. Charlie did OK for us. The game has simply moved on and the high press style is not for him. Wouldn't suit MLT either. Don't understand all the bitterness towards him and fans only upset as he's touched a nerve with his words.

Blatant push. They have got away with so much this season
-
All fair points. It's just been a frustrating few years watching a decline that I felt was totally avoidable
-
I have been negative but the club has offered very little in recent years to force my opinion. The Jan window annoyed me. We had built decent momentum and had an opportunity to kick on. Instead we weakened the squad and have again gambled on safety and Ralph's patience. It's already cost us financially... I think we will limp over the line eventually but the club continues to disappoint.
-
Making hard work of it. I guess that's the "Southampton way” Should have enough - but 1 win in 6 now with a couple of 6 pointers coming up.
-
Just lacked creativity and never seemed to adapt to weather. Poor performance all round really. Terrible game generally

The last 4 minutes sums us up. Clueless
