Reality is he’s likely on MORE than 50k a week too! our wage bill from the accounts in 2018 showed total wages at c£115m if you assume 90% of that (c£104m) goes to the first team squad and everyone (25 players) is paid equally then it’s 104m / 25 / 52 = 80k pw each now the likes of Obafemi and Valery are not going to get 80k PW so that raises the others average #thanksLes

we have been doing that and recently tried it with the Cedric and Yoshida loans. Reporting the “fee” as the sum of wages saved + loan fee + the club would be absolutely bonkers to turn down a fee of £25m for vesty. The clubs been poorly managed in recent years but they are not that dumb

We seem to regularly show transfer fees including the saved wages. We have seen SFC do this a few times for some reason therefore it’s likely to be c£14m fee and c£11m in wages saved

Youre assuming that our recent form (mid Dec to Mid Feb) will continue and we have an outside of Europe While I suspect SKD watched the Burnley game and felt it was more aligned to our early season form (Aug to Mid Dec) where we were dreadful and was looking down not up the table some feel we have turned a corner (potential for Europe) others think the early season form could return (could we get dragged back) im somewhere in the middle. My point is a free transfer might persuade a club to match his current high wages a club might agree to pay £16.5m (assuming 80k wages) to him over 4 years rather than 16.5m wages + transfer fee

The message I have taken is that it's likely that the consistent top 10 will become inconsistent and step aside for us. While the inconsistent bottom 6-7 will become consistent (poor) and never had a chance of catching us once we got 5-6 points ahead. basically the bottom clubs won’t beat the top 10 sides so can’t overtake us. But the top 10 won’t win as we will overtake them its a riddle
