  1. Quote: " They need better defenders and another striker option but a excellent midfield any PL team would want.... This years Swansea for me real chance to place in top 5 or 10 IMO" Hmmm... Would that comment about our defence be in any way linked to the 1st minute "freak blunder" followed by 89 minutes being pretty much watertight (again) and still only conceded 4 in 10?
  2. I think the idea is that you shouldn't need to top up..... that's what previous posters are saying
  3. Blimey Mr Crab. That sounds like a really strange situation. Not easy to handle either
  4. Thanks Deano - good thought but I have a mate who knew him; he lived in Amesbury but has since moved (to Southampton he thinks).
  5. That's a kind thought Mr Crab but its sounds like it might be a bit of an ordeal for all three of us!
  6. Now and again. So far this season just WBA but looking at Cardiff and Everton over Christmas hols.
  7. "Bump" (sorry!)
  8. A friend of my wife was talking about her pregnant daughter. Now, the couple aren't married and have the surnames Heath and Robinson. Apparently they have decided to give the child the surname Heath-Robinson. I really think they don't get the joke. If you don't either, check it out on wiki. - - - Updated - - - Bit of an accident waiting to happen if you write this in capital letters and the "i" looks like "L".......
  9. Susanna Reid would be my choice in place of Lawro - petition NOW!
  10. Would that be three women who all think you've got a personal hygiene problem, maybe? Now I know Dubai's a sweaty place but they can't all have been wrong.....??
  11. He's back under the user name BATMAN
  12. I am a ST holder living in Warminster (on the A36 between Salisbury and Bath). My "car share buddy" from previous seasons did not renew this year so I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who lives Wiltshire-way and might want to car share. Would also consider someone without a car, but willing to fuel-cost share (I don't really mind driving). Please PM me if so. Cheers
  13. And with our final game of the season being Man Utd at home........ what chance that will be "winner takes the final Champions League place"?
  14. The lad has certainly come of age this season - firstly as a player but, increasingly, as captain.
  15. We have spare players covering for injury or other absence in every position on the pitch - sometimes more than one player springs to mind. I think Corky is better off than most, in that he is covering for future absence of EITHER Morgan or VW. Although Davis or JWP might also be used in that way, I am not sure they are natural holding midfielders. As such, surely, he is a valuable squad player whose "time will come" at some stage in the season?? Can't see Poch wanting to unload him so quickly, myself.
  16. Nah - I think he meant pass "attempt"ion rate......
  17. Another cracker mate. 2 LOLs in respect of your Dyer robbery references.
  18. Size isn't everything you know - at least thats what a very close member of my family regularly assures me
  19. Which serves to illustrate the oft-made point - that to establish a successful team, you need to start by building an effective defence. Looks like Saints are doing just that?
  20. Billy, I'd like to add my name to the "****e Appreciation" list please. I am an avid reader and normally check your site a few times on a Monday waiting for the posting - whether I've been to the match or not. Please do keep it up (I think you'll find there is a fairly large "****e Army" out there somewhere!). Tony F
  21. I'm afraid its the "object if anyone has different ways of communicating to mine" put down. Common. Too common. Irritatingly common. Habitual for some, sadly.

Point of interest...... "every Sunderland corner after that" = 1. BBC stats state that Sunderland had two corners during the match. Knee-jerk detector showing strong positive reading, Norm
  23. Who let you think that those shorts you wore for your last two appearances at St Marys fitted you? It looked like he was wearing a pair of his kids shorts :-) (Obviously don't mention that he looked too fat to be a pro footballer in case you get arrested for bullying)
  24. On breakfast TV (BBC) this morning, after the the so-called expert had been wittering about Bale, Real Madrid and Tottenham for a minute or so, the lady presenter suggested he talk about Saints too....... So he changed his wittering to how we'd started the season quite well, had signed good players like Wanyama etc etc. She had to intervene to make to clear she was expecting him to mention how Bale came to Spurs via our youth system. He then had to cuff it; he clearly had no idea if there was a sell-on clause or not. Experts? Hmm..... very lightweight journalist I reckon.
  25. Well done for supporting your team.
