  1. Well done sir! Full respect! http://www.naomihouse.org.uk/ please ...and if this is chosen, I'll add a tenner.
  2. Just a thought, already alluded to above, but with this new direction and the five year plan and no single manager staying for 5 years, how about and older+experienced manager with a younger+upcoming manager as his undestudy who eventually takes over thus giving a collective total of a 5 year 'lifespan'. That fits in with our 'bring them through' philosopy? (no, no idea who these mgrs may be, know way too little about footie, so leave it to you experts to fill in the blanks)
  3. Nope, nothing from EFC, nothing from SFC, nothing from Koeman. Which is as you'd expect business to be done - away from the public glare. Mind you, Rons gone on his hols again, so he's not in a rush to sign anything.
  4. http://toffeeweb.com/season/15-16/news/32812.html Some back-pedalling going on maybe?
  5. It's all about the money, money, money..... (before I retired, I was freelance - if I had had an offer of a 300% increase, believe me, I would have broken contract too!!)
  6. Out of curiosity, are there any actual rumours/twitterings/whatever out there that SFC are actively looking at x, y or z in the same way EFC have come for RK here? You'd expect a balancing "RK is leaving and SFC are lining up s-and-so as a replacement" unless, of course, our lazy press only look at the 'poor old SFC, pillaged again, pmsl' aspect - nah, course not.
  7. We are, and will for the foreseeable future, be seen primarily as a club for 'pillaging' by the 'big clubs' and I truly believe that that is an explicit part of the 'sustainable club' model we have - we take them in, we improve them, we sell them, we make a profit, we survive (and some seasons, also happen to do really well). After all, this is a business. We may not see it like that as fans, but that is all that it is really. And all those in our, or any, club are simply employees. Better this than living on past, faded glories as other 'bigger' teams do?
  8. [nerdmode] ...technically, it's an oblate spheroid (flatter curvature at the poles than at the equator) [/nerdmode]
  9. Yes, the one who lives in Switzerland as a Swiss citizen and pays the tax due in that country, like I live in the UK as a UK citizen and pay UK taxes - unlike Spurs owners who I very much doubt actually live in the Bahamas as Bahamian citizens so use said country purely to obtain preferential tax rates - there's a difference. But thank you so much the underhanded comparison. Shows class does that. (by the way, tax-avoidance, if that's your inference, isn't illegal - you do it yourself, or perhaps you want forego your annual £11k personal tax allowance or ISA?)
  10. Oh no!! He's denied it!! Means it must be true!!
  11. Thing is, do we actually know how many seats were sold for any given match - unless I have it well wrong and the numbers given are indeed the sales as opposed to just those that pass through the turnstiles? So could it be the total published is STs + General Sales + Away alloc sold + Hospitality - Netting - No Shows? In which case we may well be a 'sell out' for any number of games close to the 32k mark Please, no flaming, too tired.....
  12. Back on topic..... Has he signed yet??
  13. As the late, great Eddie Waring would have said - "He's got another leg, he can limp"
  14. Bit drastic??! Can't you just muffle them somehow??
  15. Made of candy floss that Wanyama bloke, no strength, bambi-legs, can't even stand up in the wind!
  16. To plagiarise Whitey Grandad... None of the above. I' a Freelancer who WFH's a lot but I do go into work 2/3 days a week and I get paid bucket loads for it (but will shortly be in the style of Shroppie / Hamilton Saint)
  17. Considering Newcastle are our first PL opponents, thought this may be of interest.... http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/newcastle-united/result/result-newcastle-slip-to-york-defeat_236130.html
  18. Twitter..... Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 1h1 hour ago Told yesterday renewed reports of Vlaar to #SaintsFC were wide of the mark - guessing the four months out injured may have played a part.
  19. Speaking of which, I presume Morgan knows the value put on him by SFC and has 'agreed' with it? If so, I also presume he can't/won't throw a spat if no other team comes in for him? Or will he request (or even subsidise) a reduction?? (fire sale alert)

Yes, true, but back in May, Clyne was ready to sign a new contract with us but had his head turned by Lallana. So when he said that he was confident Clyne would sign, at the time Koeman was probably just that.
