  1. Oh cool, you've got some facts for us - please, tell more, it'll be nice to have someone really ITK
  2. You missed a bit..... "As of Sunday night, no official approach is understood to have been made to Southampton but the south-coast club are resigned to losing the 42-year-old and braced for Spurs to finally make an official move."
  3. Edited for accuracy.
  4. Love this bit in there..... "Frank de Boer and Mauricio Pochettino are locked in a straight fight to become the latest manager of Tottenham" ...as if both guys are deliberately seeking Spurs out to move to.
  5. This. However, I simply don't see Spurs as that much of a career enhancing upward step. In fact, with the risks involved and a greater chance of failure there (big team so big results are nothing more than to be expected, any thing less being a failure) than with us (small team, big results with us being a much better reflection of his skills). But what do I know - I'm not a career football manager or club owner/potential employer. But yes, 'losing' him to the likes of Real would be a lot more palatable - even to the extent of saying "we got you there MoPo, don't waste it" His decision obviously and perhaps for him even just managing a big EPL club is sufficient progress towards his next intended career move in the next x years, whatever that is.
  6. ok, this is where the quote is from (http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/the-case-for-poch-to-be-new-manager-thread.108916/page-119)....... "@e_spurs The pics of Poch at HW yesterday ARE genuine. 4 security staff currently suspended. Spurs did not have permission to talk with Poch....." ...the next post from there is this..... " e_Spurs aren't a source of inside information. " ...followed by.... "The e-spurs guy is a genuine Spurs fan but he gets everything wrong and acts like an ITK when he's not. " as the man said "lies spread quicker than the truth"
  7. hahahaha - nice one!! Well, I top-trump your "Photoshop expert checking in" with "Premier League Training Ground Expert checking. There's absolutely no way in hell that's Spurs' training ground" ...your turn.....
  8. Tend to agree with you Nolan. Poch also seems to have that inner glow too, especially down the inside of his leg. And also the white thing to the right cannot the foot of the person following unless he's got an exceptionally strange, unnatural gait. Looks like Poch has got an issue with his right arm too. The other thing the 'artist' missed was putting a fake date stamp to 'confirm' it's recent.
  9. Time for you and St Charlie to go back to supporting Pompey then. ...btw, the Spurs fans are saying it's NOT their training ground, there's no security gates there.
  10. So, one more time... have you been on the St Mary's tour? No? You've not listened to the Guide explaining how the colour red is used in the tunnel to 'intimidate' the opposition then? No? So SFC have wasted their time and may as well have painted the walls a delicate shade of magnolia? In that case SFC must, by your standards, be utterly foolish to have even considered this, let alone put it into practice! Nice to see you all, once again, putting you club down - what a lovely bunch you really are!
  11. a) there is no proof it doesn't b) colour red is seen as 'aggressive' which may (or may not) have an effect on a competitor c) every team using it? They may do where the away team are, just like they use other effects such as shared not single showers in the away dressing rooms, we just don't see it in the kit d) your opinion as to my opinion of the kit is worth to me exactly what I paid for it. e) .... and it's 'doesn't' not 'don't' and 'believe' not 'beleive' ..and like shurlock, I'm off.......
  12. Absolutely, it is marginal, it may or may not work - but it might just have an effect so why not use it if it 'costs' nothing? ....agreed, it is no Holy Grail and the effect may well be marginal - but it might just have an effect so why not use it if it 'costs' nothing? Plus I think this year's strip looks rather good anyway. Couldn't really see us playing in blue, green, yellow or anything other than red, myself. Wouldn't stop me supporting SFC if we did though.
  13. Guys, any of you been on the Stadium tour? In the players tunnel, the wall against which our lads stand prior to the start is painted red, the away team's is white (if I remember correctly) - the guide said this was purely psychological in intent in that that it was meant to subliminally weaken the opposition. Whether this works or not I have no idea, however, SFC believe it does and the link between this and "red shirts win" is not a huge leap.
  14. "Adam, sweetie, exactly what are Liverpool's beaches like for Arthur to build his sand castles on? Say, compared to where we are now?"
  15. Please give me the proven source or quote where a player has openly said they want to leave Saints - thx
  16. Such small fry! Is that how little you see in our club? Would our recent history not be of interest to bigger fish? C'mon people - think big! If we have to get a replacement for MP, then at the very least we need someone of, preferably better than, his calibre and MM, TS, ML, UR etc simply ain't!
  17. We've been here since 1885 haven't we? We'll get where we'll get because that's what we are no matter what ****** is spouted by the press, on websites or anywhere else and there's nothing you can do to change that so chill, people. Just watch and wait. We'll still be going to St Mary's next season to watch Saints play, whoever is in the team, whoever is the manager, to cheer them on and swear at the refs - apart from those that spend their life and energy moaning and whinging here.
  18. Because the running of SFC Ltd as a BUSINESS is independent to the playing of football. If the two departees have been fired rather than 'retired'/'released' then a) the action will have had to happen immediately (like walked off the premises possibly) and b) the reasons why will certainly not be broadcast. Amuses me that you actually believe you really are that important to think the SFC Ltd is concerned as to your opinion of their business.
  19. Am I missing something here? Is SFC not like every other business and as such is legally required to manage its employees performance, behaviour, reward and ongoing employment (or not) in a legal manner? Is this process and management not utterly irrelevant and beyond question to non-employees? Are the internal processes of a company required to be available for public investigation and enquiry? Is a time-limited contract a legally binding agreement that does not require re-signing during its life? Is a time-limited contract a legally binding agreement that requires BOTH parties agreement to end? Exactly who is out of contract this year? Move along, nothing to see here (yet)
  20. What? Credibility with whom? You? The Media? Or more importantly the players of whose opinion you have utterly no knowledge! Just because you're unsettled, so are the players? You're spouting utter claptrap, pull your neck in and since you can have no knowledge whatsoever as to what MPs plans are, leave it until SFC publicly state what is happening!
  21. or look at it this way......
  22. So if Yeovil offered him a £10M contract he'd be off there? 'Cos his agent (who is only interested in his fees apparently) and the sounds of the pounds tell him so? Don't think so. If he was at the end of his time in football management, maybe, but he is just starting to build an arguably international career and reputation. That career progression and enhancement, I think, will be the driver, the money will be (maybe only slightly) secondary. So perhaps the question we should be striving to answer is this - is leaving go to to Spurs a better 'career' enhancing move than staying with Saints?
  23. Why on earth would Saints want to tell other clubs their business, their plans, the size of the transfer budget etc? On this level we are owed nothing!
  24. You could say that by virtue of her wishing to ensure financial stability by living within the Club's means, that KL therefore wants in turn to ensure the long term survival and prosperity of the Club and her father's legacy (this latter point being no small matter I would imagine). Now that may mean 'only' achieving mid-table in the Premiership with maybe the odd good cup run or two. To some fans this may not be enough though to satisfy their interests. For others, quite the reverse. And this can put quite a different complexion on what is done - sell players for large sums, invest some to at least maintain the status quo but 'bank' the rest? Or spend beyond our means....? As Colinjb says, diff'rent strokes.....
  25. C'mon, get real! If the relationship had been shot to pieces just how long do you think in all your innocence it takes to set up a brand new commercial agreement, supply chain, stocking amounts, size spreads, design etc etc when the new board has been in place for just 4 months? "Oh it's easy, here's a mock-up, run off a few and that's it , done". Yeah, course it's that easy! And how do you know that the board isn't doing all it can to keep players and manager? 'Cos Sly Sports say they aren't? Must be true then! If you're so anti the new board, the new owner, the need for a new strip, the comms being put out, why do you bother? I mean, really?
