...to go on holiday for 10 days or so, switch their phones off, stay off sites like these, pay no heed to rumours and that way sell nobody! In fact, they can stay at our place and I'll get the missus to monitor them (and give 'em the 'odd job' around the house to do, will give me a break anyway)
-
Two people here don't like to listen to or read reasoned thought about what is likely the truth of what is happening. Good post Frank's cousin.
-
For once, we actually agree!
-
...and I would have made him put in a transfer request - he's got away with stuffing Saints and the board have pandered to the fans! Mind you, they were in a lose-lose situation with this one. Sad.

...that the indecent haste by RL to get signed up by Liverpool now is to make sure that when he plays in the world cup it is as a Liverpool player, not as a Southampton player. Don't care how long this has been going on, months in all likelihood, but he could have had some common decency and waited so that "Southampton's goal machine" was there representing us. But no, cheers Pal, it's appreciated! Not! So if AL and LS both go similarly before the WC starts (and remember, players have to want to leave!), then only the 'big' clubs will have representation and history will show that what happened during Southampton's meteoric rise from League on to 8th in the Premiership mattered or counted for nothing! So the conspiracy to put us down succeeds - let this be a warning to every other club out side the top 6 in the Premiership - no matter what your dreams and aspirations, push the top6 too hard and they'll put you down, you simply will not be allowed to join their club - they have far too much to lose!
-
You miss the point Micky - you are totally correct and I actually agree with what you say, but elsewhere on this forum people are screaming at the Board for letting RL (and any others that may) go, but here everyone saying it's a fitting end to his career. So will you be saying the same if Lallana goes? If Shaw goes? Or will you at that point turn on the board? Or will it be double standards time - THAT is the point
-
So guys, just remember your comments here when the other 'stars' leave - I'm sure you'll all find justification for each and every one of those going just as you have for RL. Lallana - oh he so deserves the chance to play CL Shaw - oh he so deserves the chance to play for is hero club etc - oh they so deserve more money So not one of you can b*tch at the board any more can you? None of you can say it's their fault. After all, all the players are worth it! After all, it's the players who want to leave us because they all deserve "the chance of a lifetime" ...teary eyed halfwits

All rise for our new Manager
-
Selfish bastards all of them, if you think they have any loyalty to Saints you're addled brained - out with the old, in with the new
-
I reckon KL should sit on his face and teach him to behave!
-
Have we sacked our players then? Have we put them on the transfer list? No? Oh, you mean they, I say again THEY, want to leave? of THEIR OWN CHOICE? Not yet you say, but they might. So nobody has left yet (Rickie aside who I reckon set this up himself - not a lot of loyalty there then) No? Ah, but they MIGHT do? Of THEIR OWN CHOICE? So they would CHOOSE to leave, yes? Ok, we'll have to wait and see who the rats are.
-
No, no, no you got to please and appease the likes of St Charlie, alpine_saint, Dig Dig et al, they're the ones who really count! They're the ones who know, they are the main men!
-
Good, with him gone, Dani's got no-one to drop so his game will improve - there we go, we got a striker back!
-
One down..... "Southampton set to miss out on Murat Yakin with former Basel man headed for Spartak Moscow"

Add-ons for the wife? Pardon?

Interesting update from a moderator on another site..... {Ed001's Note - to be fair, this is Lambert himself pushing it through. Reed is having his hand forced.}

So it really has now become just a business and not a family. Despite the journey we have been on since ML bought Saints, up to arguably our best season ever, we are now seemingly in the process of, if not self-destructing, then a complete renewal. And that ‘business’ approach is seen in the Board, our erstwhile Manager and our players, the employees of SFC Ltd. Loyalty by the ‘employees’ counts for nothing, loyalty is as big as their next pay packet but only until they improve their own lot. Can’t blame them, but certainly don’t like it. What's worse, is apparently there's no need financially for anyone to leave, so what is it that MP and the players forecast to leave dislike about SFC, about us, so much? MP had made his mind up to go and nothing was going to stop him. As for the players, can't they wait to see who the new manager is and see what the possibilities are going to be? Or perhaps they believe the expressed intent to get into Europe are just empty words? Maybe we didn't shout loud enough, maybe we sang out of tune, whatever it was, first sniff and they're off. It leaves us loyal fans, the Saints family, in tatters. All we see is our family apparently being torn apart and that hurts. It hurts me, my missus, obviously the ‘special fans’ out there – all of us. What about us? SFC exists purely because we support the team, without us, ultimately, there would be no SFC So no more ‘family loyalty’ from me, not until I see something that warrants it. And that includes whoever turns out to be an ex-player. They’ll be gone, in the past, time to move on and bring in the new. However, I do feel something isn’t quite right the way this has just exploded, it is almost conspiratorial but maybe, just maybe, the Board will show they do have balls of steel and we won’t lose too many players and maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a marquee manager and replacement players – who knows? Mind you, up to now, their actions have hardly been inspiring. But for me, I am going to have to distance myself from all the intensity of being a Saints supporter and start treating Saints as Southampton Football Ltd, at a distance, where performance on and off the field is irrelevant, where all that matter is have I had decent entertainment and value for money without caring who plays for or manages us. So until there is a semblance of trustworthy behaviour, I’m going to turn plastic – if it’s p*ssing down and cold then maybe I’ll stay at home next season (unless we get heated seats) It’s certainly been an eye opener these last few weeks. Naïve I might be and I’ve certainly been taught a lesson for my ‘loyalty’. So, as I say, it’s ‘at a distance’ from now on although we have bought season tickets. It's now over to you SFC Ltd - actions speak louder than pretty words - you know what you need to do (hopefully/maybe) But for sure, I’m going to become a hermit for the summer, stick me yed in the sand and not look again until August (that’s the plan, destined to fail!)

Well, if I'm wrong and all these players leave, I'll be the first to put my hand up and admit I'm wrong - if they don't, will you?
-
Which bit, he's leaving, he's left, he's staying, he's worth £9M, he's worth £4M, he bought a new house here last year? He said he would stay with Saints? A bid has been received? A bid has been rejected?
-
Silly me, must be normal then.

alpine_saint - What?
