St. Mary's becomes first European stadium to have LED floodlights

Certainly are - Google is your friend (other search engines are available) -
From a Rumour/Banter site - the Eds there tend to be more ITK than appears to be the case here, so, is this a slip of the keyboard, a joke, or the genuine thing? "12 Jun 2014 19:25:08 His eds, does our interest still remain in astori? As I he is a great player and would make an amazing partnership with lovren if he stays Ruffhead {Ed002's Note - I don't know if Steve Bruce will be interested in Astori. We will see.}"
-
Doubt there'll be an announcement tomorrow being Friday 13th and all that - mind you, that would suit a Gerry Francis appointment
-
I've still got that niggling feeling it'll be Steve Bruce. Hardly an 'exciting' appointment, can always hope though.
-
Not deluded, but I also think it unlikely. As LR put it yesterday, we are (still) 8th in the EPL which makes us, probably, in the top 20 of European clubs, plus we're currently (till Christmas at least dependent upon how the Poochy fares) the highest placed available club with, allegedly, a good sized transfer budget available, one that will be boosted by any sales. Not forgetting Staplewood of course. So we're actually quite an attractive proposition I would think. Plus think of the plaudits and kudos if he did get us into Europe (in which case he'd only be here for a year goddamit)! Seemingly that is not the reason Poochy left
-
My god, but you're naive! The press are always straightforward and tell the honest truth as well, eh? Or is it just case of you wanting to believe?
-
Gentlemen, please don't feed the Trolls
-
Lol, now that could be quite good! Don't you want us Poochy Don't you want us no oh oh oh! (not that he was a cocktail waitress though )

Good article, sums up what it's like to be too much of a fan. Like him, I too need to step back and become somewhat more dispassionate. But some of the dismissive arrogance here tells me that a number of people have not felt the depth of support for Saints to understand what is being said in the article. Sad, but it takes all sorts, even the 'also rans' of supporters that, IMO, they are.

Hull, here. A gentle start

This would make sense

FFS sell Shaw quick before he dips below £20m
-
No doubt the locals will gannet the left overs
-
Presumably because NC did his equivalent of a "fancy a quick bevy Mo, quick chat and all that?" sidestep since he was in sole charge. Or unless the interview was done after the serving of notice VERY quickly (again presumes the 'chat' had already happened) to make it more formal. Strachan I have no idea about. However, employment law is employment law.
-
mmmm, jury's still out I reckon. Too much going on right now and we'll need for the dust to settle before getting a proper evaluation of him. But he's not condemned just yet.
-
This your first time to planet earth guys?
-
Bearing in mind you cannot interview for a job whilst an incumbent is still in place - just how have you selected and appointed your new manager?
-
Why not from Southampton at 17.55 if he's been here?
-
Am I reading too much into this bit? Or has AL had the occasional spat before? Great shame he has chosen to behave in this way. Has soured his relationship with more than a few which is a downright shame considering what he has done for and with Saints. However, in my own, admittedly vindictive manner, I would make him put in a written transfer request, wait till after the World Cup, set a price of, say, £27m - £30m, and sell him to anybody prepared to pay the price, Liverpool or not. ....or make him play solitaire at Staplewood for a couple of years. And thanks for this post Guan
-
God forbid you'd ever admit he scored a decent goal - twunt
-
Sold who precisely? RL sold himself to Liverpool, so who is it we've sold to date?
-
Haven't you caught on that RL played us good an proper and the board were left with nowhere to go? Better slated for being 'economical' than slaughtered for announcing "RL is an exception, of course". Me, after him tapping up/being tapped by Gerrard, I'd have made him put in a transfer request. Absolutely, as is 100% of everything else you hear/speak/think about what is going on at Saints right now. Simple truth is that we won't get any news until there is news to give. Anything else is as would be spoken by an eighteenth century clergyman!

The best thing the Board can do right now is.......
