Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez
Block34 replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints

Oh so very much this!

Just like 'our boys' could have said "No!" But perhaps they lub'd up as well?
-
Now we'll see how much his head is in Liverpool!
-
Presuming that equated to 'only' a £25k uplift each per week, that's an increase of £5.2M pa in our wages bill - means we blow FFP rules without adding anything to the squad. Not really a starter is it? Does illustrate the issues we could face.

Nothing to do with the players of course, oh no no no no no, sun shines out of their collective @rses you see! Has to be the board, otherwise how could SS support a group of players that actually had no support for his club? He must feel the pain quite deeply I suspect, have to feel sorry for the guy. Time to see what a lot of footballers really are and accept it, move on and wait to see what happens this coming season
-
I presume that's what St Marco is saying in effect - "why, for goodness sakes, isn't 'the Board' paying every player exactly what they're asking for? Irrespective of whether it is affordable or good business sense"
-
As you've already stated "I think we will finish between 16th and 19th with the current squad." if we finish 15th or better, will you openly admit you're considered opinion of the state of the squad was wrong? Just curious. It's one thing to have an perennially pessimistic opinion that obviously upsets people, but if you have the grace to accept you got it wrong, fair enough. And it is a truism to say that everybody's opinion is worth precisely what someone will pay for it. Yours and mine.

When I were but a lad, 16, 17 or so, in the late 60's, early 70's, I could tell every car by the sound it made. Always been a petrol head addicted to V8s, still am now. Also, 18mths or back saw a white Rangie in Chandlers Ford with GU11LYS - always wondered......

...don't worry, the whole marketing dept has gone to Liverpool for a huge pay rise and to produce marketing blurb for a CL club.

I think, perhaps, the title of the thread may be a little emotive since it seems to presume a trial is needed. My opinion is that the Board should certainly look at it's actions (and the resulting consequences) to see what they should have done better and to learn from that. Fine words I know, but even to this glass-half-full-bought-a-ST-as-soon-as-available-team-shirt-whore, I have felt a little bewidlered at the apparent naivety/innocence/'weakness' of our Board. I think they have made some wrong decisions and then got some good results, but I am so far from the facts and what actually happened is concerned, I cannot judge their performance as such, so I simply state my opinion which right now is, given what currently appears to be going on with ins and outs, I'll mark them as "7/10 - could do better"
-
Caught one Then why ask me for it - but, here we go more 'proof' from the dumbfúck
-
I don't have to, the onus of proof is on the OP - as I requested. Your presumption is that I disagree with that statement whereas I may obviously only asking for clarification. If that clarification is not forthcoming, the conclusion is it must be a fallacy.
-
Please show us how it does this. You are obviously ITK about the Boards activities so please do illuminate us.
