Yes it was a poor show. Barton actually talked sense but he let himself down badly with that first analogy. He got the audience's back up and they just wrote him off after that. Actually felt sorry for him

Faith schools, as in Catholic-Church of England and other Christian schools, as well as Jewish schools, have excellent academic records and regularly top the Government's league table of the highest achieving schools. Why would you want to destroy that? What is wrong in grounding children in a solid identity so that they can grow up and respect other people's identities? If certain Muslim schools are not respecting the law of the land, then they should be dealt with....to say that we should get rid of all faith schools because of a few rogue Muslim schools is ridiculous. There is not a shred of evidence that pupils in Christian faith schools grow up to be religiously or culturally 'closed off' or prejudiced towards anyone else. Quite the contrary. It is my experience and I'm sure that the statistics would back me up, that Christian faith schools generally produce well rounded individuals who go on to further education and then into good careers.

It's in the Daily Mail. He was okay after the game but had to be hospitalized a few days later. He died of internal injuries. I haven't seen the video. I think there is something very wrong in watching someone dying, or in this case, an incident which led to their death. Doesn't seem right to me, to turn human tragedies into a form of entertainment.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to say and I'm not sure what the poster is trying to imply.....There has been worldwide condemnation over what happened in Nigeria from the British PM to the American president and his wife. There has, as far as I'm aware, been plenty of offers of assistance to help the Nigerian government find the girls. If anything, the only thing it's says to me is that the Nigerian Government are completely incompetent and that they and Mr Goodluck Jonathon need to get their act together.

Cheers......I would love to see you wearing the stripes. The Saints and W.B.A used to be my all time favourite strips. Ironic considering they are now talking about changing their kit as well. When you came up a couple of seasons ago, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The club changed a famous, iconic strip for a non-descript, bland, nothingness. I wonder at the mentality of those who run our football clubs. It's almost as if they deliberately want to antagonise with no benefit to it. A football kit is the outward identity of your tradition and history. I can't understand those who don't see it that way

People up North are very similar to the Welsh...sort of old-fashioned in a good way and community minded. I would if someone came in and threatened its status and security, of course I would. I wasn't aware of past problems because, let's be honest, when a club disappears from the top flight, it's almost as if they have disappeared from the footballing world and so receive scant media attention. I remember the Saints when I was a youngster, Kevin Keegan and Mick Channon. I even used to copy his goalscoring celebration ...Loved the Dell as well.

What thoughts??? Being sanctimonious and self righteous while being factually incorrect and not being able to read dates accurately!! By the way, because your club went into administration I have, as a generous Welshman, decided to subscribe to this sight, as every little helps. I know my fiver is meant to maintain this sight but feel free to pass it on the club (although come the new season you should have quite a few quid after selling most of your team:D ...joke

Well that sounds reasonable if only it wasn't completely factually inaccurate!!!!!! I posted it in another section at first and only a handful of people looked at it so I moved it this section on the 10th of May.....I then commented at the lack of interest and rude replies on the evening of the 13th May!!!! If my maths are correct, that is a gap of 3 days.... So where did you get this 'only giving us 2 hours to respond stuff from' !! No, I had no idea you went into administration. All the more reason I would have thought to help another team that asked for that help. As for not supporting blue because it's Portsmouth's colours...I can only assume your tongue was very firmly in your cheek:p
