How do you know the ease of which they sign them? Do you follow every transfer made by other clubs from leaked rumour on a forum, to speculation in the press, to agent and club posturing to actual negotiation to "done deal"? Look how long the Ben Davies transfer talk, that was being talked up for ages. Look at the Suarez deal, that took forever! And so did Luiz (x2), Costa, Debuchy etc, even Burnley took ages to sign Marvin Sordell and they got him for free! We just think that saints take longer because we see more due to being avid followers of the club. We might not have even moved for players up until now because Koeman wanted to assess the squad and the market. We don't know. As you say, we have 6 weeks. 6 weeks is a long time. I am confident we will sign more players.

If this was FIFA or Football manager? I'd get Vorm, Blind, De Vrij, Griezman and Anthony Martial (main targets, but I'd look for Guidetti, Garbutt, Krkic, Will Hughes and Bamford, too!). I don't think we will get any of those (although all / most are both available and within our means), but have faith in our scouting team that we will get adequate players.

Yes, it is pure speculation. But so is jumping to the conclusion that our board don't know what they are doing. We have sold our players for silly money. It's not like we're giving them away. We don't know where that money is being reinvested, but the signs are there that it will be. Reconnecting with the fans, developing a £30m training complex, selling players at a ridiculous profit while you can and looking to replace them well, hiring the most decorated manager in the clubs history, expanding your workforce behind the scenes hardly cries out to me that the board don't know what they are doing. Just because people on this board don't know what they are doing, doesn't mean that their work is no good.

£2.50 is not that much more? I paid a £10 service charge on Getmein.com for some gig tickets I'm not all that fussed about, so don't think £2.50 was that bad over the phone. Did add up a bit though for the 4 tickets we got!

Apparently he is due, not sure how we will find out if that is true or not now, but he could join J-Rod in the stands tonight at Swindon, so I guess we'll know later...
