  1. He's not on the 25 man squad list, he's in the U21's list which isn't counted as part of the first 25. You can field any player from your U-21 squad list through the season, but don't need to register them in your 25 man squad. The only reason I have highlighted him in the second list there is because I think he (and the other players highlighted) are ones we will see in the first team at some point this year.

  3. I take Fox's football coverage less seriously than I take Garth Crook's "expertise"...
  4. Adam Blackmore ‏@bigadamsport 2m IF Gaston Ramirez goes to Hull - & he hasn't yet according to @SimonPeach - it will go against what Koeman said to me last week about him / Koeman said Gaston wasn't fit & he didn't want any players to leave. However, board may be keen to shift his wages which are high
  5. Simon Peach ‏@SimonPeach 45s Gaston Ramirez is not a #HCAFC player yet, contrary to reports. Nothing sorted.
  6. Always looked fairly decent whenever i've seen him for Uruguay, especially the Confed cup a few years back. Looks like a Uruguan Shane Long! Not an out and out striker - but drifts out to the wings and runs at defenders, which explains why his record isn't the best. Looks like a good runner, quite athletic and chases down a lot of balls that other strikers would leave. Out of interest, why and where have you seen what Palermo fans have been saying??
  7. Have you seen Hernandez play, out of interest? Snodgrass will do well when fit. Dawson not as good as he once was, but he is a good leader on the pitch and should form a good partnership with James Chester in the defence, i think he will do well. Haven't seen enough of Ince to form an opinion but he seems highly rated. Think Hull have done well this window.
  8. Have asked Adam Blackmore about the Ramirez rumour and here is what he said:
  9. Abel Hernandez, Snodgrass, Livermore, Dawson, Ince & Diame all good quality players. some more than others but sure they will all do a good job for them
  10. Alex Goring Crook ‏@alex_crook 3m #ncfc being linked with Hooiveld. Wouldn't surprise me if he went. Will be #saintsfc 5th choice once Alderweireld is confirmed #DeadlineDay
  11. Sounds like Gary Taylor-Fletcher has gotten stuck in the Transfer Window.
  12. Having been wholly against us signing Shane Long at any price, I have now changed my mind completely having seen him play at Millwall on tuesday and West Ham on saturday. I don't think he will be our top goalscorer, or get many assists but he is already going some way to repaying what we spent on him with good performances. He is good on the ball and doesn't let defenders rest. We will win a fair few free kicks in dangerous positions and penalties due to his commitment to running down every ball and he seems a real team player. Think we are a better team for having him. I also think, for what it's worth, that player prices are irrelevant. What matters is that he's a Saints player. Players don't decide how much a club pays for them, and it's not our money any way, so players shouldn't be judged against their price tags, but by how good they are on the pitch.
  13. The biggest problem with the forum, I find, is some of the posters. I have had to avoid it quite a bit lately to avoid all those who post opinions as facts, and personal worries as genuine problems...
  14. Pfft, I've seen older looking 18 year olds!
  15. "Doctor, it hurts when I do this: " "Well, don't do that , then."
  16. "Doctor, Doctor, help me please! I can't work out if Shane Long meant to pass it to Clyney or not!" "I am sorry, but you are beyond help. If you think these matters are worthy of seeking medical advice, then I would suggest your problems are far deeper set than your stupidity. I would like to refer you to a Psychotherapist."
  17. You know I'm joking, right? I thought Long had a very good second half...
  18. Henry, Ronaldinho, Messi and Ronaldo all seem OK doing it pretty often?
  19. And he did that, what, once?
  20. Throw in some running and leaving the ball behind, standing on the ball and not making much space off the ball and he really is the complete player!
  21. Nice one, City score against Liverpool - Lovren with the assist!
  22. Probably not, but I think there will be high quality highlights on the Sky Sports website after the game
  23. Going to have to wait a long time to see a more boring match than this Newcastle / Villa game!
  24. Think it just feels shorter because you haven't got to wait for every question and answer to be translated to Spanish / English!
