One way or another Bertrand's definitely not going back to Chelsea when Felipe Luis can't even get a game, not to mention his recent comments about how they've treated him poorly. He'll be signing a permanent deal with another club this season, hopefully that club is us.

Terrible player. The ball rarely gets near him or his marking opponent. Never try's to take his man on. What exactly are we paying him to do? Meltdown.

We're stealing their thunder. If not for us doing well they'd be the ones getting all the plaudits. They deserve great credit for how they've started their season too.

I think it might have to do with not adapting well to new training and playing styles. The reason Pelle/Tadic have adapted so quickly is because they've just come from the Dutch league like Koeman. On the topic of defectors, I know Rojo doesn't quite count but given we tried to sign him I think we really dodged a bullet. No way is he worth the $18m they wanted. Apart from a few good moments here and there he's overall looked below-standard for ManU. He and Shaw are constantly getting found out down that left side.

Not the best draw but certainly not the worst. Our best XI's will be going head to head in the league a few days prior. Then it's a question of which team can condition enough players for the cup and which team has the most depth on the bench. I'd give us a 65% chance to progress. It's a month away but surely on current form we'd go in favourites?

I think this one will play out similar to 2nd Half vs Swansea. We need to learn and build from that. An early goal will open them up a lot more.

Obviously very early days but great to see sides that are likely to finish around us on the table dropping points. Gained 3pts on Swansea, Liverpool, Spurs and ManU this week, the latter 3 to teams we should finish above.

I agree. Just pointing out that those particular stats (tackles/intercepts) don't mean much since it means your team is losing the ball more often to be able to win it back more often.

Their press was extremely effective against us in that first half. We couldn't string more than 5 passes together. Got very lucky with the Bony red but it was definitely there, stupid play from him. Delivery into the box was poor with a few exceptions. I feel like we dropped too much tempo in that 2nd half because they gave us so much time on the ball. Perhaps a bit more emergency and flair/trying things is needed when we're a man up and should be 100% pushing for the win. It took a defensive mid scoring his 1st goal in 16 months to break them down, you'd hope one of the regular attacking players could've made the breakthrough. That's my nitpicking the areas to improve on to make us an ever better team. What a start to the season. Deserved a result in every game bar WBA and we've shown some great adaptability to different situations that we might not have had under MP. Can't wait to rub in the ladder position to my Liverpool mates this week.
