Tend to agree with Pilchards here. Saints have always prided themselves on conducting business away from public glare. Wouldn't surprise me if Pellegrini's name has been put out there to suggest we are aiming high, but in reality just a decoy. Think we will get a progressive manager like VP or Puel for that matter, both under the radar until this week, esp Puel, but likewise, wouldn't surprise me if we suddenly appointed a name not mentioned at all. Either way, no reason to doubt the club's selection policy

So we have Rudi who seems to tick all the boxes, but then there was the post saying he has no plan B when things go wrong. We have Puel who seems the outsider due to defensive tendencies and appearing an average option, and then we have FDB, desperate to prove himself in Premier league. Went for FDB at the very start and going to stick I think!

Must have something about him otherwise, Saints wouldn't be looking! Like the look of Rudi and FDB to be fair, but all have limitations as well. Trust board to go with the best fit
