I think I am in a total minority! I thought we played really well in the first half at old Trafford with the said diamond that most hate! One move should have ended up with an open goal header for Long but cross was over hit, Long narrowly missed with De Gea well beaten and he also scuffed that dribbler! The ball should never have found Rooney for Zlatan's opener (fantastic header) and the Shaw dive effectively killed us off! Not saying the world is rosy, but with the inclusion of a new striker and CAM, I believe we have makings of an exciting side! Personal opinion yes, but I am looking forward.

Just wondered what exactly we worry about? Isn't supporting a football team meant to be fun, an aside from every day day life? As far as I can tell, we live for the ups and downs, it all provides pub and forum talk. When we got relegated to league 1, I am sure we all supported the same team, I am also sure the worries were greater then before Markus took over. We will continue to have good times and bad times, but isn't that being a football supporter? We could be Man U fans for instance, having to endure Moyes and Van Gaal, spending ridiculous money to not even qualify for CL. We live for Sat afternoon or whenever match day is, not sure that will ever change. I don't think we have melt downers or the happy clappy side either, we all support same team but maybe have different values regarding it! My point is CL or conference, we would still be here debating the issues of the day, ie should we sign Pogba or Paul Wotton!!

You'd think with all the negative comments on here, we would get a refund! Used to like the banter, but it's just one way negativity now. I opted for FDB at the start but am equally intrigued to see what Puel can bring to the table. Couple of decent replacements and we still have a decent side. If Stephens, Slattery can make the step up too, all the better. Either way I am excited, I support the team regardless, I remember camping a few years ago and listening to Saints lose the league one opener to Plymouth. The excitement was just as real then! The reality is that the top 6 will be even more difficult to crack this season even for a club like Spurs. I expect Man U, Chelsea, City ( all with new hungry managers) and Arse to occupy top 4 slots, then you bring in Liverpool and Spurs with maybe, us, Hammers and Stoke. Its going to be a tough season and throwing money at it isn't the answer. We will have our ups and our downs, memories to last a lifetime and hopefully a few new heroes along the way! We will turn up on a Sat with that air of nervous but excited tension, we will cheer, we will moan, its a football season and we love it! For me, hope to see exciting football, a decent cup run, a good stab at Europe and then see whee the league takes us! Nobody knows what kind of manager Puel will be, but our board have chosen him and I dont recall then letting us down much in the past. Just enjoy the ride

The more I think about it, I am more convinced that MP will be our new manager on July 1st. He has stated that his contract finishes on June 30th at City and as a man on integrity, he is sticking by that. Pep hasn't uttered anything that I am aware of in an official capacity at city as he doesn't start until July 1st. I believe now that MP will be announced July 1st, although as has been said, that wont stop him acting behind the scenes.
