  1. Agree that the extension does filter back to players, it may also make or break who comes into club? Most I imagine want to play for manager
  2. Joakim Maehler
  3. Well said that man
  4. Whoever he is, he should be fired! Proper fitness should be first requisite. Think we have people stinking behind the scenes
  5. Spot on!! Has to be lack of proper training, we just can't see out last ten mins in any match! Start slowly as well almost looking to get into game at our own pace, by that time, we are out of game against better sides. Something not clicking seriously, fitness and attitude should not be an issue, but it patently is!
  6. We all love playing football manager/Chairman, not sure it's as easy as all that to make transfers happen these day! Les is well thought of at club and has been at the helm of a lot of good things that happened in recent years! Not saying the board couldn't do better, last years business not good at all, but still think we are an attractive option and this years business should be judged at end of window. Keep an open mind as ever
  7. If we want Shaq, I reckon he will come to us! Going to Spurs would undoubtedly mean a lot of time on bench! Guess it depends how important money is I guess
  8. Agree with that Ron, but looking back through the years, we never had much investment, we were a small family club! If Hughes is kept on and keeps the spirit levels high, maybe two in two out, would you settle for entertaining football next year? We seem to have been spoilt by ML era and want something out of our reach now! When Chelsea and Arsenal cant get CL football, what hope do we have? Still think this team with a couple of additions can finish top half and have a decent cup run!
  9. There are still deals to be had and the last two years were more to do with conservative managers which was Les's fault! Under Hughes, I can see the odd big team result going our way next year
  10. Easy to have ambition when you spending someone else's money though. KL put a lid on NC frittering her money away and that was the beginning of the end
  11. Before Markus took over, did anyone really believe we were a big club in waiting? We were blessed for a while under the Liebherr stewardship, we stormed through the divisions, sampled cup final victory in the JPT, went into Europe (which we completely ballsed up), but after ML's death, it was always going to change. We have new owners with new ideas, we are back to being what we always were, a small fish in a big pond, a David competing very well at times against the Goliaths. I don't mind the club being run in a sustainable fashion, we all saw what happened with the mob down the road. All I really want as a small club, is our identity back, decent players who are proud to wear the shirt, and a brand of entertaining football that gets the fans hearts racing again. We aren't a big club so I am not sure why fans are taking umbrage about RK calling us what we are. As long as the club is run well as a business behind the scenes, and we have a manager with resources to build a solid side capable of beating the best of the rest and challenging the big 6, I am on board. Football is about character, not spending £36m on a player! Concentrate on what we used to be good at, finding a true bargain a la Mane, and give the fans something to shout about! For what it's worth, I am proud of who we are, it makes the victories against the big boys much sweeter.
  12. Spot on, agree with all of that
  13. cracking article, and agree with it wholeheartedly
  14. Totally agree with all of that, just have a feeling he may have learnt from those errors. Just for me, he has restored a touch of pride in players, and I get the feeling he will have learnt a lot from the failure at Stoke. Only my opinion obviously
  15. I can only go with my heart at this point! We will beat Swans tonight albeit in nail biting fashion. Hughes will be kept on but hopefully with more of a say in recruitment. Think he knows the kind of player that is going to make a difference here. Change of attitude definitely needed behind scenes though otherwise it could be a long season ahead.
  16. Yep, that works for me!
  17. Basically to have club as means to get on ladder when China attempts to become new super power in football! Training facilities, academy, branding, spirit, basically everything that made us a respected club is being sucked out! Its like an alien invasion sucking the life out of the earths energy! We are Gao's means to get it on the ground level. Only my opinion, but he wont be investing in our club for us to perform on pitch, investment will be to promote his needs in China. Hope he gets what he needs and offloads club quickly! Still think we are an attractive option to a buyer with club at heart
  18. That was a good balanced listen! Agree with Adam Leitch, there will be big changes afoot
  19. yep I know, it was having problem registering new accounts
