  1. Agree we need pace, back and front, if we are to succeed in the Premiership.
  2. It is good to cultivtate the Asian countries which have strong growth and the Club can benefit from merchandising. Fulham used to get quite a number of Japanese supporters when they had 2 players in the squad, when we were last in the Premiership. I would expect to see some more at SMS next season.
  3. Well behaved fans who have a lot in common with us ie WGS, Sisu Dulieu etc. They had many young players in the team who did well yesterday and they never gave up singing for their team. It must have been very hard for them to see all the goings on by us as our team were promoted but they are going down. Let us hope that they can quickly recover, somebody buys them who are proper football people and we can see the RIcoh jumping again. Good luck Coventry City.
  4. We sang your name today Markus. We know you were there with us, helping us live the dream that is now a reality.
  5. When we got relegated to the third tier I did not think I would ever see Saints in the Premiership in my lifetime. There I was today, on the pitch with my Son and two Grandsons enjoying the celebrations with the rest of the Fans, knowing what a great journey we now have before us. Congratulations to Nigel and the Team and many thanks to Markus and Nicola.
  6. I could not enjoy my day unless I had my twice daily dose of TSW.
  7. Unfortunately Fonte let us down again tonight. Before that Hammond and the two full backs were very poor--Hammond in giving the ball away frequesntly and not being able to tackle , and the full backs in giving the wingers too much space. Forget about the refereeing decision and the Lino for Rickies goal disallowed, we were just not good enough tonight. My goodness, if we do go up we have to get a few premiership class players in. Our weaknesses really showed up tonight.
  8. I like the cut of your jib Chez.
  9. You predicted correct with change kit last time, give us a taster of your thoughts!
  10. All this talk of expansion is exciting but it will all come down to cash and attendances. The Board will want a guarantee of that and the only way is through Season Ticket Sales. A first pointer is the number we sell for next season.
  11. Madjeski has also said in the past, that he will not be putting any more money into the club as he has put in enough over the years. Hence the wish to sell. If the deal with the Ruskies falls through, I guess Reading will not be buying any players then.
  12. My goodness that interview by NA was so positive and enthusiastic. How can we not win now? Three points.
  13. Feeling down this morning. We played well for most of the game but were let down by those 3 individual mistakes and some good goalkeeping . In saying that, Danny Fox seems to give his winger too much space in all the games I have seen this season. Furthermore we still seem to stand off and not make a tackle as in the seconed goal and this too has been a problem all season. If we do go up, we shall have to buy quite a few players if we wish to remain in the Premiership.
  14. Turned on Radio Two whilst taking wife to work and there was Freddie M singing "We are the Champions" Now that is an omen.
  15. Enjoyed reading that.
  16. Agree that Jack Cork was superb today. He had so much time and space that he created for himself. That is what he and Morgan will be like in the premiership. So much to look forward to.
  17. The pitch invaders must have been Skates in disguise. No right minded Saints fan would risk holding up the game and possible suspension to do that. The delay could have led to a goal. Simple Morons- we do not want you at St Mary's.

Deepest sympathies, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
  19. The pitch did have some bearing on the game but not all. Blackpool played better on it as they are simply used to playing on it, just as we are on the great pitch at SMS. This made it difficult for us to control the ball as we would like.
  20. The game was crying out for wingers and pace from us. We had neither. Terrible game from our point of view and terrible pitch.
  21. I thought it was only £6m WGS wanted to pay for Saha and Malbranque. Even so RL sacrificed a small short term gain for a considerable loss in turnover and WGS when we got relegated. That was nonsensical and showed lack of good business acumen.
  22. By capitalising their Loans, they have made a stronger base for the Club as the Loans were probably repayable on demand. The shares have to be sold for the Leibherrs to get their money back now and thus have shown their comittment to the club. The have made a permanent investment now.
  23. I seem to remember the Northam singing "Super Kev" when he was with us.
  24. I find it rude and disrepectful to the players. One would not do it at the Theatre or School Play I am sure. Not only that, season ticket holders miss seeing the equivilent of at least one whole match by leaving early each time. That canot be good value for their ticket surely?
  25. Kelvin is a must for us if we get in the premiership but we must look further afield, as we did when we signed Tim Flowers who had to wait his chance. A young good goalkeeper would be ideal as cover for Kelvin for a year or two. Hennesey or Al Habsi would be good if their team gets relegated but I cannot see them wishing to play second fiddle, even for a short period.
