  1. Jason Euell has now let himself, the team and the fans down over this.
  2. You could see he was not ready at the Bristol City Match. It was not fair to start him on Saturday. As such a young player, He should come on with 10mins to go in order to build up his confidence. I suspect he has now lost that and it may therefore, take a time to rebuild it. However, he has good potential and will be back in due course.
  3. I could not see from the Chapel if Euells Sending Off was deserved or not. It will be looked at by the club on the video and if it was not deserved, the club will appeal and it will be rescinded. It is as simple as that.
  4. As long as Saints continue to trade as a going concern, the Bank will not get involved with RL departure otherwise they become "Interested Directors" under the Companies Act and thus can become liable for the affairs of the club, in particular its liabilities.
  5. You were correct but it was at The Dell and the announcer in the maroon coat forgot his name!. I cannot remember it also,(It might have been Mike Williamson or Crainie) but I do remember the announcer was the one that used to telephone the PA to play "One Vision" before the teams came out. Later at St Mary's he overead the half time scores, talking about the away team coaches after the match. I have never seen him since!
  6. I have just had a look at last years accounts and the Loan Note is at 8.35% fixed. All Barclays overdraft and Loans are linked to base rate unless these were renegotiated when Rupes took back control.
  7. I do not think the Loan Note Holder (for the Stadium) is Barclays and I seem to recall that it is at a fixed rate. The overdraft with Barclays, will of course, benefit from the rate cut assuming it is linked to base rate rather than libor.
  8. Kelvin has played exceptionally well this season, but still does not come for crosses as RW did with us. However, this is a question of confidence, and reading last nights reports, could see him beginning to change. He does have a physical disadvantage with his height though ,against some of those big players in this league. Well done Kelvin last night.
  9. It would be dangerous to play Killer. He has been out for weeks and certainly cannot possibly be match fit yet.
  10. It goes to show that we can defend set pieces when we concentrate and take responsibility. Interesting to read JP comments on the OS, that the plan was to interchange Rudi, Mills & Suman- that is novel. Well done lads!
  11. Never rated Delap or Fuller when they were with us. £90K paid for Fuller was about right but £4m Gray paid for delap--well!!!
  12. I saw him drive into the Car Park in a Mercedes with his personal number plate on Saturday.
  13. I would agree with that. RL said after the cup final that we were now ready to move on to the next tier. He did not back WGS with the cash to buy better players and WGS moved on. The rest, as they say , is history.
  14. What nobody can deny is that we are playing much better football now and I am enjoying going to St Mary's, unlike last season. The youngsters can but improve and I think we are in good hands with JP. Just watch us climb the table as the injured return for duty.
  15. You are correct, but look at the Accounts of Portsmouth Football Club Ltd, who have a negative net worth of £30M and who are owned by Milan Developments Ltd who also have a negative net worth of £30M and who in turn is owned by an offshore Company. Young Gaydamak is a director ,with others, of both these companies but to keep injecting money of this magnitude by way of Directors/Company Loans, simply cannot be sustained at such a little outfit.
  16. I would agree with that and let us hope that he enjoys playing with a number of Englishmen and other UK players which might cause him to stay.Playing in Chelsea reserves with a load of foreign players, watched by crowds of 200, cannot be much fun.
  17. He has many talents and a striker can be selfish providing he scores the goals. From my perspective, his shots always seem lightweight so surely he can be coached and excercised to improve this? Look how James Beattie improved after he initially came to us.
  18. Arsenal youngsters are not only better footballers than ours, must of them are 6ft tall. Ours are dwarfs in comparison.
  19. I guess all those who post on here are regular supporters who are committed to Saints and thus have something to say. If we continue to get gates of 14/15K as we have for the last 2 games, of course we shall have to sell assets to survive. That is the plain economic fact of the commercial world, so do not put all the blame on Rupes in his current tenure, the stay away fans must shoulder some of the blame if Lallana goes.
  20. If he will not put the effort in ,surely the club can issue disciplinary proceedings. After the required periods of notice & review etc. if nothing improves we can get rid surely?
  21. I hope he settled his medical bill before he left otherwise another load of money written off. It may well turn out that he will not be the same player and thus we shall be glad of the £1.3m, and the disappearing wages. Only time will tell.
  22. For the umteenth time, the Bank would not be picking the Team as otherwise they become" interested Directors" under the terms of the Companies Act and thus liable to the Administrator/ Liquidator in the event of such an arrangement. No bank with the reputation of Barclays would undertake such action.
  23. That is how I saw it too. There were a number of occasions on Saturday when Surman just did not have the pace to get back. I think he is classy player but not in that position. Young James is getting better with every game.
  24. The truth is probably somewhere betwwen RL & MW wishing to protect their stake in the business and the bank saying "ok, but continued support will mean selling assets". The Bank will not stipulate who they sell as otherwise would become "interested directors" under the terms of the Companies Act and thus illegal. It seems to me that as nobody wishes to buy Kelvin Davies, Euell and Skajel we are forced to sell others who can raise reasonable sums, not by design but simply circumstances. That is the fact of the case surely? We can all help in a small way by ensuring that the 18K fans who were their on Saturday each bring and ex-supporter back to SMS for the rest of the season.
  25. I cannot argue with that so thank you for the clarification. I must have had a senior moment when I posted!
