  1. We all know what we really want is a big carthorse upfront as that is what gets goals in this league not skills.
  2. Warming up to be Player Manager when we are in the Third Division me thinks.
  3. He would want more money than we can afford. A Thousand times more than Pearson wanted!
  4. I am bewildered with all this and just cannot see where it will all end up now. Rupert's management decisions have been appalling in both dynasties and I really can smell the first real whiff of Administration.
  5. I expect this was the first or last warning to Jan from Rupert to improve performance under current employment legislation. Presumably, Football Managers are no different than any other worker when it comes to dismissal procedures.
  6. The trouble is the lack of buying the 2 players, was the turning point in our downfall. I recall a figure of £6M was mentioned by WGS to take us on with these 2 players. That is all, but how much have we lost since then ? I just hate to see our club crumbling before our eyes and realistically we cannot stop it.
  7. It seems things have gone quiet since the Man U game. I know Lallana did not feature but Surman did and perhaps the big clubs feel he is not quite Premiership standard as is Lallana with his "powder puff "shooting. OK for us though thank goodness.
  8. I enjoyed the post GM but perhaps you should have added "If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you," From one of the "lunatic fringe"
  9. If you cannot put in £75K each Mr Lowe and Mr Wilde to play him, I am afraid your shareholding we devalue at far more than this sum by the end of the season. In fact, just as they did when the club would not purchase after the cup final and look how much you have lost since then. You know it makes sense!

    Marlon Harewood

If we cannot afford to play John and Rasiak how on earth could we even dream about Harewood?
  11. Please put some cash into the club by way of Directors Loans, so we can buy a great big hulk at Centre Back and a great big hulk at Striker position in order to muscle our way to the Premiership.
  12. Correct, but the rest is ideal.
  13. I cannot believe I am reading that unless it is meant as a joke!
  14. I think I understood WGS a little better, but I have not understood what any manager has been saying on the big screen on match days , during training at Staplewood ,for years.
  15. Goodness me, you will be starting rumours in the Mirror next. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2008/12/16/southampton-want-to-pay-off-jason-euell-115875-20974725/
  16. I do not know about selling their entire squad just to buy Jack Cork, but I cannot see the Skates buying any one. Their debt of £60M between the 2 Company's involved with them, is just not sustainable and Gaydamak will not be putting any more money in when they make gross losses on P & L and he is effected by the global credit crunch. Certainly they will have to off load some players and the new training ground and stadium is just a distant dream now.
  17. Surmans a good player for us and I would be sorry if he went. However, if he has the opportunity to better himself who can blame him? I certainly wanted to better myself when working and took every promotion that was offerred to me.By working hard and spending ours at night school to get qualified, I owed it to myself and my family. Reality says that the Club need the money too.
  18. I did not see Sir Alf play at the Dell but Stuart Williams was one of my favourites in my early days of watching there. He was a stylish, Welsh International who did not let many get past him.
  19. It will be good to see him running at defences again.
  20. Mind you ,I did see Bobby Charlton score a terrific goal the other day on TV, when watching some youngsters play, whilst taking his whippet for a walk in the park!

    Paterson

First time I have seen Paterson, well built for a striker and has a good first touch.Must say though, I did feel as though he looked very tired which is unusual for a youngster who only played a few minutes in ther second half.
  22. As a ST Holder I am not fussed to have more than one ticket. I hope though that the club ensure all ST Holders & members have discounted tickets and those who have not been to any games will only enjoy the general sale, if they attend the next two home games and pay extra for their Man U tickets.
  23. We have never been able to take corners since MLT retired. We are now back to the Steve Neville days and he still could not take them when he moved to Exeter!.

    Webster

Has anybody ever seen Malcolm Webster run or even trot or walk fast?
