  1. Ed is great.
  2. Devondale Investments, I believe, is an offshore Company who own, Milan Deveopments (2004) Ltd who in turn own Portsmouth City FC Ltd. The latter 2 have negative net worth because of the mountain of liabilities, according to last registered accounting info. We cannot get details of offshore Company's accounts. It looks therefore that Gaydamak may have walked away in exchange for the Sheik taking over the business (and the liabilities). Things just the same as before then.
  3. Notts County: a disaster waiting to happen IMHO
  4. Ah yes, all those narrow seats, not being able to get anything to eat and those long queues at half time to get to the toilet. Those were the days.
  5. We were crying out for 2 wide wingers on the flanks yesterday. Had there been, Rickie Lambert would have got a hatfull I am sure. Why o why does lallana keep cuting inside when he only has to get down to the by line to cross, just like Brentford did when they scored. This is elementary stuff surely? Is there a Paine & Sydenham out there somewhere?
  6. How many times has it been said on this Board that we need wingers to get down to the bi-line to cross the ball? How many times does it happen? I saw Murty do it at the Hearts game once but cannot recall mention of it since.
  7. Can recommend "The Raven" at Much Wenlock for Accomodation and food.

    Adam Lallana

Loads of ability and willl develop with time. He must learn to practice more power in his shots though.
  9. Now, whether that means that from then on we're 'completely debt free' is a moot point. I think it will bring it down to the last 20m that Gaydamak is owed personally. Either way, very good progress on what was a crippling debt..... Your accounts have been highlighted here before and you do not seem to realise that Portsmouth City FC Ltd is the wholly owned subsidiary and Miland Developments (2004) lTD is the Holding Company. These companies, in their accounts to 31.05.08, made a gross loss of £10M and £7.6m respectively and a pre tax loss of £17m and £17.2M. Current Liabilities including Bank and I presume Gaydamaks Loans amount to £391M for the two companies and their net worth is negative £96M and negative £85M. You have sold over £100m worth of players, but that is not enough to repay all the liabilities. Furthermore all the high wages would continue to be paid since then so goodness knows what the liabilities are now. You can check these figures from the Company's Registry, but suffice to say I am glad I am not Portsmouth's Bank Manager or indeed a creditor. Ooops, I forgot to mention those County Court Judgements registered against them.

    Jack Cork

a good player but not the strength and power that we are looking for at present.
  11. You can park in their customer car park around the corner, but not on the pavement outside.
  12. Palace do not pay bonus's so he probab ly would have earned more on a 2 year contract with us than 1 year with them.

Daily Telegraph claims that the Arab has not provided the Premier League with the Proof of Ownership yet, so nothing can proceed until that is submitted, investigated and approved.
  14. I enjoyed that.
  15. He was the only Manager who came to SMS who I can remember had a standing ovation. The Northam sang "Theres only one Bobby Robson" and a great game followed with a 3-3 draw with Newcastle. The referee had a good game too, I believe it was Mr Dowd. RIP Sir Bobby, a great man and ambassador for the game.
  16. Absolutely right about Mills. I saw him in a pre-season friendly at Exeter, 2 years ago and whilst he played well, he looked like a little boy. He has certainly come on in the 3 games I have seen this season and obviously the loan at S****horpe has done him a lot of good.
  17. If you can only teach them how to take corners and get to the byeline before crossing, you will be made in heaven.
  18. Good to see him back today and looking well.
  19. Kevin Davis was poor with Blackburn and us seconed time around and look what has happened since. We must not boadly judge this lad before we have seen him for goodness sake. AP knows what he is doing.
  20. I saw nearly all the home games last year and apart from one or two when he had a good game, in my opinion he was poor bearing in mind the money we were paying him. His shooting was atrocious and I think we are well out if true.
  21. Really good, enjoyed watching it again this morning. Thank you.
  22. Spot on. I went full of enthusiasm but came away depressed. The lack of goals in all our pre season games is worrying. We will have to see what today brings and the players AP can bring in over the next 3 weeks.
  23. The list looks interesting. I saw on SSN that Glen Little and Michael Ball where trialling somewhere and Vassell had signed for some Turkish Club I believe. The other suggestions look good, as we are in dire straights for some goal getters/makers judging by the pre-season games todate.
  24. A good appointment by the Board. Articulate, experienced, presents a good picture and has a wide view of the game. He ticks all the right boxes for me. Good luck Alan, we are behind you.
