I have acquired a 450mm galvanised pipe flag pole which is split into 4 x 5 foot pieces that screw together.. I wish to cement a 350mm galvanised pipe into the ground, over which I shall "sleeve" the Flag Pole. This will aid removal for decoration, maintenance etc. I need to know the depth of the 350mm pipe below ground and its height above ground please?

Agree that is a difficult problem. The only thing Pards can do is to tell them that there is no future for them at SMS and they must look for another club now. The alternative is to get forgotton in the reserves so no club would have heard of them and thus their wages will reduce substantially when they are out of contract. Similarly there will be numerous players looking for clubs at the end of the season and therefore they may not find a club at all, if they leave it to then.

I did not see that--made be laugh though.

A good read. Thank you. Just goes to show what happens when you have proper people running our club.

Pards has built this team himself with his astute signings. He could see where we were lacking and has rectified it. He was able to see our shortcomings just as many of us who post on this site could and his interviews and tactics prove this.Long may it continue

I enjoyed the game very much.Trotman mom for me, He did not put a foot wrong and sweeps up well after Jaidi. MKD never looked dangerous. Harding had so much room at the back it was unbelievable. The subs turned the game. Antonio with his pace and ability to beat a man and get to the bi line to cross and Connolly for his awareness around the box. James still makes me a little nervous as he seems to stand off his man too much and allows him to turn but he did put in some good crosses today. There were times when our defenders were heading the ball in the air too much instead of trying to head it down but that is nit picking. The Team played well, our manager's tactics were spot on and we are a good team now. Well done Saints.

Much appreciated you two.A very good and interesting read for those who can never get to these sessions.

Condolences to big Ron. As others have said, he was the best header of the ball we have seen at the Dell and since and I was priviledged to have seen him play.

I do not think Pards would go up to the wet & cold north, where this club has not had a great reputation in the past as big spenders on really good players. This is what they will need to do to get back in the Premiership at the end of the season.

I do not agree with that statement given the circumstaces reported in the Echo. Perhaps you will go to the Police and give evidence if you know so much about it, and it might help the case of either parties involved.
-
And the fact that he sees things in a match like most of us on this Forum do too.
-
I was sorry to see him leave as he was a good player for us. However, he did lack pace for the Premiership, especially in the last 15 mins of each game when he often looked kn...ckrd.
-
Was he on the bench for the Bournemouth pre-season friendly at Dean Court? If so, I have seen him in the warm up.

A good listen to a very good Manager. He always comes over well in his Sky TV Interviews too.
-
Beware of wise men from the East bearing Gifts.
-
Most of the people he interviewed in the Sandbanks programme have all gone bust or fled!
-
I have never critised his skills, but simply his "powder puff" shooting ability in the past. He is having an immense season so far and I must eat my words after his seconed goal on Saturday. He has obviously worked on this, so well done to him.

Paul Wotton's best game for us this season by far and agree with other posts that he helped to bring balance to the side yesterday.

MorningtonCrescent's post is the most sensible I have read on this site for ages. I think this is exactly how the club is being run now and about time too. We have a professional set up at last...the rest will follow.

I really enjoyed listening to that and Pardew' responses showed what a really good manager we have. There were one or two irrelevent questions, I felt, but they must have been important to the questioner, so that is fair enough. It is a pity time ran out without any questions on our corner kicks and width.

All we need to do is play proper wingers.Lloyd James & Lallana are not proper wingers so it must be 2 from Holmes, Papa and Mills even though the latter is a lb. Lambert will thrive on crosses from the bi-line with the big centre backs joining him on corners, providing we send in whizzers and not scoops.
-
Come on fans for goodness sake. Pardew had to get his team together which he now has, but he had to do this whilst the season started. Nobody can argue that the 8 players and coaches he has brought in, are not better than we had before. His after match comments indicate that he sees things most of us do on this board. I shall be very surprised if we do not begin to climb the table now. Have faith and patience, that is what the new owners asked us to do at the begining of the season.

That is it exactly.Paine & Sydenham used to do this for big Ron.England did it twice the other night. The defence is forced to to come out to get the ball. If we just lob the ball into the goalmouth from outside the penalty area, the CF has his back to the goal and the CH is invariably all over him. Another thing too, cannot the coaches teach our corner takers to put in "whizzers" ala MLT, those lightweight scoops do nothing for our attackers in the box.
