  1. Schneiderlin is a quality player but blows hot and cold during games for me. However he is very young and I believe he will develop into a very good player. Remember Beattie at his age? A different position I know, but look how he improved for us over the years.
  2. This man together, with our owner and CEO has made us really enjoy watching the mighty Saints once more. I never thought that I would say that in the Third Division. Onwards and upwards you Reds.
  3. Well done David-very good gesture.
  4. I expect he is also annoyed that we released him a few years ago. He went to Chelsea on trial and then Swindon I believe, before he disappeared and then resurfaced again at Barnsley.
  5. Pretty impressive message from the chairman. I shall still be praying in Church on Christmas Eve, that Saints win against Exeter.
  6. I must agree completely with that. It is obvious. even in this league, that we lack pace at the back. It will be difficult to attract some of the strikers mentioned on this site, just to sit on the bench. AP has to make his mind up if he feels our youngsters are good enough to fill in. I would think it imperative for Patterson to go out on loan, despite the fact that he does not appear to want to. That will at least confirm the position one way or another. Failing that, Papa could move into the middle more and we look to another pacey winger. The Antonio debate then begins again!
  7. I did not think I would enjoy third division football and almost did not renew my St until the new regime came in. I now come awy from the games with a warm feeling and enjoy weekends and Mondays much more. If we can eventually move back into the Premiership by winning most games under AP, that will be great for me.
  8. A good read and a good article by AP. Agree he always talks so much sense. Interesting to note too, that Bartman is the only survivor from the team the last time we played them nearly 3 years ago. Guthrie and Belmadi were in the team then.
  9. We were so loud and sang our hearts out in the Chapel today. The new spion kop, as the players responded to that with goals after a quiet ist half at the Notham end.
  10. Today's DT claims that they have parted Company with their Bankers, Barclays. I expect Barclays have told them to find alternative bankers, but who would take them on? Seems only a question of time to me before Cork Gully are knocking on the door.
  11. Ther is also another ginger Rooney who was on loan to Yeovil a few seasons ago and played striker for Republic of Ireland under 21 last season. This cannot be the same one, can it?
  12. With our back 4 generally lacking pace, a fast younger right back seems to be essential in the January transfer window now. Sadly, I think Murts will be plagued by injuries in his twilight years, just as Marion and Michael Svennsson were.
  13. Well done Saints. Really pulls at the heart strings.
  14. Councils are Public Bodies therefore bound by The Freedom of Information Act I presume.
  15. Even the Journos are beginning to say that the overspending by Rednapp and condoned by Gaydamak created this mess. I bet Storrie egged Gaydamak on that all would be ok with Harry at the Tiller, and the man was bewildered by it all.
  16. A good read in the DT today about all the debt http://www.telegraph.co.uk/kelso
  17. It is a shame that it has all come to this as he was a very good player for us. However I can recall he was banned for Drink Driving and he did look disinterested in his last few games for us at SMS.
  18. He has moulded his own team now and what a great job he has done. He speaks so much sense in his post match interviews too. Thanks Alan, Sundays and Mondays are so much better to wake up to.
  19. I have seen him on TV x2 recently playing for the Blades but must say that he does not seem the dominant player he was for us.
  20. We have a chance of winning something with the JPT which is realistic. I do not think we can win the league or the FA Cup! This would give the club and the fans more impetus and may bring back more of the missing 10K back to SMS.
  21. Stanley Unwin describing the pleasure in clapping?
  22. Thanks for all the updates Tim. It would be great if we could see Big Ron at St Mary's in the future.
  23. Good luck to the Bartman. He was great for us until injury at Newcastle and then lost his confidence a little. He looked good against Charlton and I am looking forward to seeing him coming off his line and plucking those high balls out of the air.
  24. Andy Townsend did play for Weymouth and also worked for an IT Company there, until he got the call from Big Lawrie.
  25. Of course Adam will go eventually, as it will take us a few seasons to get back to the premiership. However, the money we can get, as it will not be a fire sale, will enable us to strengthen the team to ensure our aspirations come true.
