I honestly think Adkins played a second string because he felt it was very likely a first 11 would have suffered the same fate at Leeds. The stick he's received for his team selection is nothing to what he would have got if/when we'd lost with our first team. He may have even lost his job.

I disagree about Rodriguez .. I think he looks lost, shot of confidence and is about as strong as a new born baby when trying to hold the ball up. I also thought he was a lot better in the air than he is. Out of his depth (at the moment anyway) and I feel a bit sorry for the lad.

I see where a lot of you are coming from but the Championship would be nowhere near as exciting if we weren't competing at the top watching players like SRL and Lallana take the p*ss. If we go down we'd probably lose both, and who knows what would happen with the Liebherrs etc we could very easily go back to being very sh*t again and I don't recall enjoying that the last time. Granted wins are few and far between in this league but that win against villa topped the feeling of every win last season by a mile, minus the Coventry win on promotion day. The % of clowns was certainly higher than usual yesterday. I had a group of total mongs in front of me. They spent the whole game shouting/gesturing to an arsenal fan in the upper tier.. However whenever I looked round there wasn't even anyone there. One of the said group of helmets kept shouting "inbreds" at the invisible arsenal fan, which was ironic as he was arguably the scruffiest ,most pikey looking/sounding Saints fan I've ever seen at a game - he also had a lisp and was dribbling everywhere.
