Our goverment deporting that English lad to Portugal to serve a 2 year prison sentence for throwing a bottle, but not deporting a Pakistani who had been planning terror attacks on Britain back to Pakistan 'incase he gets attacked'.

Being signed off work for 6 weeks on full pay, and having to spend the end of the 3rd week lying in the garden catching some rays. Oh...
-
Saints fans who think our lower league standard players are world beaters, and that any player linked with us from a higher league 'wouldn't get in the team' or that 'we could do better'. C*nts.
-
Women who think they are equal to men, when they are inferior to us in every single way.

Protien shakes are decent post workout or for a decent protien hit between meals. However be prepared to gas out anyone around you if you start using them. I'm off them while I recover from my op, and my house smells alot fresher as a result.

Lol @ thesaint being a veggie. Pretty unmanly if you ask me. Never met a veggie who isn't female, or are you a bird? Would make sense.. Stu giving out diet tips is quite amusing also...

I never knew of anyone who had done it prior to doing mine and I've played since I was 8. I only know of 1 other person I've played with who has done the same, and that was around the same time I tore mine.

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.
Colbury replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Nope. As he may feel we need to strengthen elsewhere or think we may not be able to afford his wages etc. However should he state his reason for not going for him as "we can do better than Surman" or "he wouldn't get near our team" then yes I will conclude that pardew is infact a bit of a mong. -
I blame brain dead clumbsy Sunday morning pub team players who go through the back of you about 10 minutes after the balls gone.

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

Lol @ the mongs thinking he wouldn't get in our side/we could do better. Surman was one of our best players in the CCC, and took the pi*s in this league as a 18 year old nipper on loan to bmouth from us. Surman in the middle with MS and Hammond, with puncheon and lallana either side with lambert up top would be immence in this league. -
Loads on here have done their ACL, odd bearing in mind it's quite a rare injury.
-
Yes ACL reconstruction using a graft from my hamstring. Consultant was a Mr Dunlop, and had it at the general. The NHS are a bunch of c*nts when it comes to ACL problems in my experience. As for cryo-cuff, I just went for the old fashioned bag of peas in the days following my op. Had minimal swelling anyway, which is partly down to the surgeon being half decent I'd have thought.
-
I tore my acl over a year ago and had to take up a different form of excercise rather than football until it was sorted. Hit the gym 5 times a week for the past 11 months... Mainly weight training with the odd bit of cardio. I didn't diet as such, just ate a bit more sensibly and limited the beer intake to once every fortnight. I now weigh a stone less through a lower body fat percentage, but at the same time I have packed on alot of muscle. Good luck with the op... Had mine 3 weeks ago. Counting down the days until I can return to the gym.

How the f*ck didn't Jimmy Floyd Hasselbiank get in there... I remember him having the hardest shot I've ever seen. 2 goals stand out 1 vs man u at Old Trafford, and one vs Arsenal at Highbury.

'Kin hell, there's no way I could have carried on - felt like a canon had been shot at my leg!
-
Had the same from my team mates when I'd done mine. The ref also approached me and said if you are not going to carry on can you get off the pitch!! My reply - F*ck off mate I've broken my leg! I then was helped up and hopped back to the changing rooms.

Don't let yourself be fobbed off mikey... Tell them it's unstable and giving out and that you would like an MRI.
-
Did you not do any damage to your knee? I'm a bit paranoid about re tearing mine.
-
It comes down to surgeon preference I think. My understanding of it is Patella option stands a better chance of taking due to the bone on the end of the graft - meaning when it's screwed into place you have bone to bone healing rather than ligament to bone like you get with the hamstring graft. Disadvantages obviously being the knee is weakened further by the graft being taken from the same knee that there drilling holes/putting screws in! Talking if pros doing their ACL's - Boa Morte did his in august 09 made his comeback in the prem on sat 9-10 months later... That's got to be some decent physio bearing in mind he presumably would have had to wait a month or so for the op for swelling etc to settle down.
-
agree 100% The key is the "giving out" term as it indicates a problem... Even if it isn't giving out tell them it is so you get the scan so you can be sure.

Ruptured/snapped/complete tear however you want to put it! Was completely obliterated (specialist words). Some complete helmet deliberately went through the back of me because I was giving him the run around in a footie match. It took me months to get the op because of the f*ck ups in the begining and the first specialist I saw referred me for more physio as he doubted the op was neccesary - this put me back a further 3 months as i awaited a 2nd opinion elsewhere - nightmare ! But i've had it now and can concerntrate on getting back. I had it done in the general - no staples/stitches just butterfly stitches which I had off today. My surgeon uses the hamstring graft option (recovery is quicker I've heard) therefore I was able to lift my leg up/bend it the day after surgery! It prob helped that I hit the gym 5 times a week in my 15 months away from football and built my quads and hammys right up. Getting on well with my excercises and start physio next week. So far so good, but I'd be lying of I said it isn't really painful/uncomfortable !
-
DEMAND to be referred a specialist. I was referred to physios etc first and wasted months when all along I had torn my ACL. It took me 15 months to get the op because of all the clowns I saw early on who just told me to rest/ice it! The only thing that will really show you what's up is an MRI scan and unless your doc agrees to refer you for one direct, then really you need to get yourself in to a specalist. Not saying you've done anything serious but knees are not something to be guessing about.

I had an ACL reconsruction 10 days ago. Completely ruptured my ACL in feb 09 playing football. Currently at the thinking the slightest knock/movement is going to tear the graft stage!
