  1. Try www.firstrow.org. Excellent website, though full of ads.
  2. Hmmm. 3 tweets in total with 2 followers from that account. Reputability aside, he wouldn't be a terrible signing but feel we already have Tadic filling his role.
  3. Forster on account of his potential for the future.
  4. Have seen a few people mention Victor Moses. Could this be the unknown signing Guan mentioned? Would easily have him at Saints.
  5. Injury prone, but would still be an excellent centre back for the club. Never going to happen with the interest from United and Arsenal's general reluctance to sell though.
  6. I look at this Schelotto guy and at first blush I'm very much underwhelmed. Yet, when you think about it, he's not the worst signing in the world. Take him out on loan, let him compete for a spot on the wing (where we are very short on quality at the moment - Isgrove v Mayuka, anyone?) and, if he's successful, invest further in a permanent deal. Again, it's hardly a worldy, but a sensible, prudent and low risk deal from Saints that could really benefit the (deprived) team this season. Don't shoot the messenger - I'm just trying to make a case for Schelotto. Edit: This post has the deals for both Taider and Schelotto going through in mind.
  7. We have now.
  8. So the radio stream broke down while JWP scored to make it 3-0 .... Absolute screamer apparently.
  9. Good to hear that Bertrand did well. Here's what some pundits thought on Twitter. Alex Goring-Crook: Bertrand replaced by Targett at ht after an impressive debut. Some good runs down the left and solid defensively Adam Blackmore: Enterprising first 45 for @ryanbertrand3 in a #saintsfc shirt - raided forward well , wanting ball & nothing to test him defensively
  10. Presumably the commentary has stopped because the second half hasn't started yet? Edit: ...aaaand we're back.
  11. 2-0 Davis. Fantastic to get more than one goal for Saints. It seems like there's as big a gulf in playing quality between tonight and Bournemouth as there were was between then and Swindon.
  12. All that minus Fer would make for a very shrewd transfer window from Saints. This is both desirable and very possible from my point of view.
  13. Fonte making a big run up the centre? Seems to be a trend here over the past three games. Is it a Koeman motif, and will it happen much in the PL?
  14. Ramirez picked up a knock according to Adam Blackmore. He ain't going anywhere.
  15. To the rescue! Thanks for clearing that one up!
  16. Nice to see Bertrand start. Not expecting fireworks but great to get him out there with the rest of the team. Also, from this line up you can see where Koeman's targets are, perhaps? I can not see Yoshida or Isgrove starting the season.
  17. MLG - what's your response to this hyptheticals: Bertrand completes successful loan, Southampton want to exercise buy-back clause, Chelsea accept, but Bertrand refuses to move permanently? Does the player have much say in this circumstance?
  18. That's been my general expectation all along. There are so many examples of players thriving in one environment but failing in the next, and I don't see it as a coincidence that Southampton produces so many talented full backs. Bertrand has every opportunity to impress and improve.
  19. No, agreed, and I personally wouldn't want to see the club do it either. But it's such a strange one: I don't see why he'd want to stay at United to bench warm, which is almost an inevitability considering the amount of attacking options at United's disposal. Chicarito's 26, and clearly a talented player - with Saints he has the perfect opportunity to create a prolific playing career in the PL. Bizarre. Edit: It almost stinks of arrogance and, on reflection, do we really want a player like that in our squad?
  20. I suppose we'll have to make him an offer he can't refuse.
  21. Amy Lewis has just linked us with Utd's Hernandez again. Still think this would be a brilliant signing if all parties can work something out.
  22. Agreed, but it's the same old thing - haven't Southampton already got enough midfielders already? Replacing Cork for Taider is hard to swallow but palatable. Fer, on the other hand, just leaves an extremely bad taste in the mouth. Edit: That Okazaki doesn't look terrible though.
  23. He turned down a new contract with them, so expect club will want to sell instead of releasing on a free next year. West Ham player of the year as well, I think? Wouldn't be the worst signing in the world.
  24. Think this Schelotto guy would fit into team more than Taider - he's a right winger.
  25. Mate, complete braindead for a second there, just ignore it.
