  1. I'm most interested to hear why exactly the club are acting in such an emotional way over Lallana's departure. Dare I say that the statement is as bad an example of PR as Lallana's quotes? Well, perhaps not as bad, but certainly not the professionalism I would expect from the club. Lallana must have really stirred something up. EDIT: So, if what AGC says is true, then Lallana effectively forced a move in an extremely disrespectful way. There must have been more, though?
  2. Fantastic appointments. They will likely ensure a smoother transition into Koeman's new system involving new players. So, next stop, who are we buying?
  3. Nope, that's Fellaini!
  4. That's fair enough - I'd also feel a small bit of pride over seeing a Saints shirt in a 'sports shop'! My own personal opinion, however, is that so long as it makes the club financially successful, anything goes.
  5. Because all big clubs must use brands like Nike and Addidas? Wouldn't you rather the club developed it's own identity and success apart from the established status quo?
  6. Fellaini is 13/2 to go to Southampton. Surely not? http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/marouane-fellaini/next-club
  7. When it comes down to it, how likely is it that the club will see a significant drop in shirt sales next season? Not much at all, because kids and die-hards (to whom replicas are primarily aimed at) don't care one bit about brand or the fact that manufacturing has been outsourced. In my opinion, the club will be able to flex it's creative muscle and I wouldn't be surprised to see a progressive and inventive design. It might even prove to be popular, despite the posting of typical, knee-jerk reactions.
  8. It would be an appalling headline even if it did.
  9. What planet are you on? £4m for a 32-year-old combined with all that Rickie contributed to the club is staggeringly good business.
  10. And that explains your misguided attempt to CB Fry how? You should try to not overreact at everything, pal.
  11. Did you see that thing just go past your head? It was sarcasm.
  12. Not difficult at all, but the fans' contribution is so minute that it hardly warrants mention. Using it in your original post to illustrate a point is patently absurd.
  13. No more than one extra player leaving the club, if any at all. What incentive does the club have to sell?
  14. Yep, and after a quick search on google: http://www.fr12.nl/nieuws/26605-immers-tekent-nieuw-contract-beloning-voor-mijn-prestaties.html "After Lex is ready for a new season at Feyenoord. That said, the attacking midfielder (28) Tuesday at De Kuip, where he and his teammates some physical tests and then underwent one of the Business Units of the stadium his new contract signed until mid-2017. "I had a very nice holiday and after a tough season sufficiently caught my rest. From everything I can start again, "said After all, who eagerly looking forward to the first training at De Kuip."
  15. With 14 goals throughout the season and 10 assists, I'd be inclined to agree with you. However, it's not the highest tally and, as he did this season, I expect Rodriguez to be just slightly better in the centre forward role.
  16. Is that likely to happen considering that Hernandez is still abroad with Mexico with a game to play this Sunday? I wouldn't mind if so!
  17. I think a lot of people are forgetting that Ward-Prowse is only 19. Look at what he's already achieved compared to when players of his position generally peak, and it's no surprise that many rightly regard him to be a definite future player for England. Not every graduate from the Saints academy is going to be an immediate sensation.
  18. Can't see this one happening at all. Although I'm sure he would act as sufficient midfield cover, Barry's wages would be disproportionate to that role and we would never be able to make money when selling him in the future because of his age. It also seems to be completely contradictory to club transfer policy. In comparison, Jack Cork is surely the more viable option.
  19. That Columbian kit looks absolutely gorgeous. Would love that in red and white (in either combination). Would be tempted to even get one myself for the gym.
  20. I'm sure he's got more than a few tricks up his sleeve.
  21. Seem to remember people saying the players weren't tweeting because they were all in tears over Nigel's dismissal. Clearly wasn't the case, though.
  22. I will go mad if anyone starts singing the Yaya/Kolo Toure song about the Koemans. So many games last season with Steven and Kelvin Davis. Absolutely unbearable.
  23. City away would be brilliant - anything can happen in the first few games, so would much prefer that then against someone like Leicester.
  24. -------------------HART JOHNSON---CAHILL---JAGIELKA---BAINES ----------HENDERSON---GERRARD WELBECK----------------------------LALLANA --------------------STERLING --------------------STURRIDGE Barkley as an impact player for Sterling (as per Italy the game), Rooney as a substitute for any attacking position - it seems that when it comes to the England team, Rooney is a jack of all trades, master of none.
  25. Every article on the OS has Shaw and Lallana on either side.
