  1. Ayew and Zaha in top 5 most fouled players apparently, can see why.
  2. I think we have managed the half quite well, not sure what people expect in the Premier League where every game is hard especially with our finances. It’s rare to entirely dominate a game at home entirely with 70% possession, 20 shots on target and 6 xG or something and then be up 4-0 just in the first half. Yes we rode our luck when Gallagher missed his header but at 1-0 up no complaints from me just yet.
  3. HT Saints 1-0 Palace
  4. Obafemi just scored for Swansea who are away to high-flying Notts Forest too.
  5. Palace have drawn 4 and lost 11 when conceding the first goal. No wins as of yet.
  6. Yeah he has definitely lost that yard of pace. If Ralph wants I too can run like a headless chicken…
  7. I’ve never seen two corner kick takers at a corner flag before to act as a dummy. Perraud took it in the end. JWP should have just run over it for full effect!
  8. I hope our fans aren't silly enough to boo Clyne like they did with Cedric a few weeks ago. Joel Ward and Zaha though... get into them however.
  9. EDIT: Club posted wrong team but I'll leave it here to confuse people re. Forster/McCarthy
  10. “For me, in football mistakes come. When it comes, you have to stay positive and try to believe in yourself,” Salisu told the Daily Echo. “Try to sit down and see what’s not right so you can make it better. I had a couple of bad games, I will say. But I’m still working hard to get back to my best. “I’m doing Ramadan and it’s not easy. It’s very hard at the same time playing games, I think it’s a little bit affected me. But I’m still working hard and I will get back strong.” https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/20103535.salisu-addresses-mistakes-great-season-contract-talk/ Well that clears that then.
  11. A step up for now, for a year or two sure I agree. JWP could even weaken Leicester’s first XI because I prefer their pivot of Tielemans/Ndidi for the system they play. Of course it would increase their depth but I think Tielemans is leaving anyway. One transfer window, one managerial brain fart and it can go tits up. Fulham and Middlesborough were step ups too at one point when they were in Europa League semifinals/finals etc etc Sadly, unless you are one of the big 6 I just don’t see any of the other 14 sustaining European football for say 4 out of 5 seasons. We’ll see what impact Newcastle has however, with their new wealth they could but if we are talking about the now then it’s not a major step up other than for wages.
  12. What is he an accountant? Also reducing clubs profitability is terrible for FFP reasons It’s a football club, not a dodgy takeaway or barber shop
  13. KWP my player of the season, JWP isn't a close second but a firm 2nd. If you asked me for 3rd 7 weeks ago, I'd have said Salisu, if you look at form now I would say Forster, so there could be an element of recency bias. I would say 3rd for me is Tino, but as he will or should most likely win young player of the year, I'll go Romeu.
  14. I like Howe but I think being English means that Ralph has a higher ceiling. By that, I mean I feel like Ralph could probably get the gig again at a big top 4/top 6 German club other than Dortmund/Bayern, but can't say the same for Howe. Sadly English managers are held in lower esteem. Despite what Howe is achieving, he'll never manage the likes of Man City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Utd. At best I think Arsenal or Spurs.
  15. See I disagree, in terms of wages sure they’ll possibly pay more? I’d like to think JWP is on around £100k anyway with his new contract so it wouldn’t be that much more surely? However I don’t think both are a step up from us, sure Leicester have had European football last 2/3 years but they don’t have the big 6 revenue size to fund it consistently… and then the cycle continues It was us between 2014-16, Leicester between 2019 to now, WHU from 2020-now… Wolves had two 7th place finishes too. Just the cycle for clubs outside the top 6. Unless Leicester win the new ECL, there is no Europe for them next year.
  16. Why is this t**t suddenly piping up, for someone who hates us all he does is talk about us. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-summer-transfer-midfielder-7003650 (quotes below): James Ward-Prowse’s former Southampton teammate Charlie Austin has advised the midfielder to leave the club this summer, suggesting Leicester City as a potential destination. “Over the last two years he’s been club captain, he’s cemented himself in there, but certainly now, I think it’s time to leave,” he told TalkSPORT. “This is why, because I think if he wants to go to the World Cup, he needs to be at a different football club than what Southampton are offering, the way they’re performing. I just think he’s more appealing if he’s at a different club.” The former striker then names a list of clubs who would be a good move for him: “I do think that he would fit in at an Arsenal, or a Leicester or Newcastle. Newcastle are on a re-build, the way they’re going, it wouldn’t surprise me if they’d thrown the dice at him.” Austin then responded to a question on if City was a step up from Southampton: “Oh, mate, look where Leicester are and look where Southampton are,” he said. “Southampton since Ronald Koeman was there and they got in Europe, since then they’ve been on a downward spiral. If you have that conversation, Leicester are in a European competition.”

    Welcome

Welcome to the forum. Will you predict us finishing 17th every season? Or do you reside in the Swiss Alps somewhere?
  18. Very sad for him. Wish him the best hope he can return back to the form we have seen this season. I wonder what this means though as I believe the release clause would get triggered in 2023. Is that clause only there for 2023 or there indefinitely? I'm not sure Chelsea or anyone else will pay the c. £38m for him on the back of 6 months, assuming his recovery goes well and he plays from Jan 2023.
  19. I'd say we dominated Spurs away this season - to me our best performance of the season, it could have been 6 or 7-3 that game. Let's not forget over the past year or two we tend to murder teams in the first half, only to run out of steam in the 2nd half and go on to lose that game. There is a reason why since Ralph joined no other team has dropped more points from winning positions, we never capitalised on chances to make it 2-0...
  20. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/endendevertraege I'd like us to just try and attack some names on this list. Some huge names this year. Or if not, the 2023 expirees at least. Let's unsettle some clubs who are smaller than us to get heads turning (AKA do a Klopp style deal in Blackpool )
  21. Without getting into a completely new debate, I must admit some confuse me. Some wear the headscarves, some don't. Some drink, some don't. Some pray, some don't. I guess what it comes down to is how strictly they believe in the religion, and that as humans we respect everyone whatever their preference
  22. Yep, me 🙋‍♂️
  23. Yep, which is why I’m slightly worried for games against the big 6 when they have the luxury to make 5 subs next season.
  24. I’d say other than winning us a trophy Ralph could make this a season to remember if we can pull out a result and stop Liverpool from winning the league in May. I suspect we’d have 18 other teams cheering us on.
  25. FULL TIME - Brighton 2-2 SAINTS
