Leicester play a game on Thursday night, away to Chelsea. Again though, which players will look fresher on the pitch come Sunday? Someone sack the fitness coach. I just know I’ll end up watching though but I’ll certainly glance more towards the City game and hopefully an Everton relegation. Play some U18s, let their reward for winning the league be a day out on an away day on PL soil, with KWP/JWP/McCarthy/Romeu/Salisu the only 5 starting.

The problem I now have with some of our recent buys is I wonder whether Ralph is just taking them backwards and if they could flourish under someone new. Don’t get me wrong, we have bought some duds but 2019 onwards these players have only known Ralph.

Southampton have dropped 29 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, the most of any side and the most by a team in a single season since the Saints themselves dropped 29 in the 2018-19 season. Since the start of March, only Watford (9) have lost more Premier League games than Southampton (8), while only the Hornets have shipped more goals (28) than the Saints (26). No team has conceded more headers than Southampton (14)

Samba (the Forest GK) truly mastered the GK shithousery of penalties there... Delayed the Sheffield players every time, taking long sips of water and taking time to get back on his line, then pointing and dancing on the line.... fair play. Imagine though if that penalty had to be retaken or something because he was off his line, with the way the pitch was invaded that quickly there'd be no chance!

He really doesn't help himself with comments like "this is our Champions League final" does he... if that is the performance they will churn out we won't get far next season. To be honest the comment has brought back memories of last season's FA cup semifinal now, our best chance to get to a final against Leicester and we don't muster a shot on target
-
A lap of appreciation to about 500 people probably if that.
-
Not against their B team, and not with that performance and tactics. I’d have only justified that had we got something
-
That KWP cross is why Trent/Reece/Walker are ahead of him unfortunately
-
Even the sky pictures have red ribbons on the PL trophy

Sorry Ralph has not helped here at all. Played a silly line up by dropping Romeu, Che Adams… and now in game not even making a sub or attempting to change things just fucking standing there like a melon acting as if shouting some words will change things. I said it last week, but my warmth for Ralph has fully waned.
-
Liverpool 2-1 fuck sake
-
JWP should have done better there with that cross in my opinion from open play
-
Imagine if Mane, Salah, Trent, Robertson, VVD, Fabinho, Thiago were playing tonight...
-
Jamie Redknapp - "that is a blatant foul"...
-
There are some teams that when they line up the way we have, wouldn't ever look like conceding. Atletico Madrid are obviously one of the best at it, but there are other PL teams who can manage it. We look fragile/open, and only a matter of time. Half time need Romeu to come on
-
This is a Liverpool B team all over us at home where we have had 10 days off... I am hating how passive we look, hardly even pressing. Can only hope part of Ralph's plan to save some energy for the 2nd half but to do that we can't go in a goal or two down... Also looking likely we will end up accumulating another 3 points to Ralph's "points dropped from winning positions"
-
I’ll be the first to say it…(or not) Would Forster have saved that? Another near post goal conceded by McCarthy…
-
Minamino ffs

https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/premier-league-games-15-16-17-19-may-22.355058/page-56 City forum probably just as busy as ours tonight, vested interest I suppose.

Firmino offside, good high line Martin Tyler rather than a “Southampton got away with this”
-
NATHANNNNN
-
Does the game have 0-0 written all over it? When can we expect the league table too. Need to plan accordingly
-
To me looks like a 541 with Redmond at left wing back in defence
-
Add in Martin Tyler and Carragher on commentary, tonight could be insufferable
-
I just feel like that is skewed by the likes of West Ham spending £85m on Felipe Anderson and Haller combined and then selling these players on, and perhaps not including their recent buys such as Zouma/Vlasic etc so none of those players sit on their books on balance sheet date. However, positioning does look about right, but as others say wages is probably the better indicator to where a club should be, as well as net spend.
