  1. Obviously a pipe dream and Werner won't happen, but wonder what if we say offered a £5m loan fee and £135k a week wages... It would probably get rejected but even Everton/WBA managed to get Lukaku on loan from them. Probably no real benefit for Chelsea that deal though as they'll need squad depth to fight on all 4 fronts.
  2. https://fminside.net/players/2-fm-22/49048369-sekou-mara Only has 13 acceleration and 13 pace not quick enough as per @Matthew Le God friends
  3. Let's not forget a lot of our players have been on holiday since end of February, so naturally it is harder to return to peak form after such a long lay off.
  4. The market has changed a lot but for £30m I’d want someone who has scored at least 12+ non-penalty goals in either Spain, Germany or Italy. But for £30m that is unlikely to exist unless they’re on a contract with 1 year left or old.
  5. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11013385/How-Kemi-Badenoch-anti-woke-candidate-Tory-party-leader.html#comments Daily mail readers so seem to be supporting Kemi though in this article.
  6. Yep it is really awful this year just need to click some more to get to where you need to. Also silly they haven't got a page for all matchday prices. However, to buy tickets: I'd recommend just simply clicking the "become a premium member" on that page you mention, as it should take you to the actual ticketing website. From there you can navigate using the headings at the top to "my account" or to "match tickets" and then just log in and purchase. (or maybe this will help: https://tickets.southamptonfc.com/account/login)
  7. The Watford fixture has gone on sale today to those STHs who attended 14 away games last season - and the club fully expect it to sell out to those 500 as no further criteria released. There was me hoping I would have a chance...
  8. Credit where it's due, my biggest qualm with women's football is usually the standard of goalkeeping but the Finland/Denmark game earlier both keepers had a very good game. Some of those saves wouldn't be amiss in the men's game.
  9. I heard we've won the Euromillions tonight, c. £191m jackpot coming in!
  10. Yep, you would think it is the future of tickets. Apparently for the 2022 World Cup, tickets can't be transferred unless near the stadium which would significantly hinder the likes of online touting for sites like Viagogo etc etc I'd also be sceptical of purchasing a "screenshot" from a tout too if it ever came to it.
  11. Didn't the United CEO come out and say money is not an issue... Use that and start bidding at £60m if they want him. For the record I think KWP is an excellent full-back, certainly one of our best players but not CL level or title winning quality just yet.
  12. Absolutely hate how Liverpool get away with charging those fees. Other than Ings for £20m, they’ve really pulled down some other clubs with Brewster, Solanke, Ibe, Harry Wilson, Danny Ward, Joe Allen etc
  13. In fairness last season it went to general sale, but perhaps that was because it was a Wednesday night kick off. As for the seated only question, Spurs’ away end has installed railings which are suitable for standing up, however there is a really tiny section of the away end by block 118 which doesn’t have the railings. Last season everyone was still standing up by that section anyway though.
  14. Sold out before it got to members this year, good going.
  15. The one fullback I really wanted us to get was Joakim Maehle at the time. I think I would prioritise a striker over a full-back atm, though of course nothing says we can't have both.
  16. When the likes of Dan James have gone for £30m and Brewster for £20m, and given we have already lost 2 strikers in Broja and Long, I'd say Nottingham Forest will have to pay a premium if they want him. If they are interested then start any potential deal at around £35m, which I know is excessive but represents his ability and the inconvenience for us to have to recruit someone else.
  17. Indeed it was. At this point you wonder if the media are also taking the piss to generate retweets and clicks. "Beckham-esque" pull the other one.
  18. At what point are you gonna move this thread over to the Lounge 😂

    Salisu

The sad thing is that the best thing for him would be not signing a new contract, playing amazingly this season and then almost force our hand next season to sell should he have suitors. If he has an average season then we'll still probably offer him a contract anyway next year. Ideal world is he extends his contract and plays out of his skin to give us some more bargaining power, but I would be willing to accept a reasonable compromise of putting in say a £50m release clause if that will entice him to sign.

We only cost the same amount as Jack Grealish anyway
  21. I wonder what his salary at Chelsea is and whether it is still an academy salary or a PL salary for fringe players. It might explain why he wants to leave, Chelsea don't need to offer him a new one if he still has 4 years to go on it
  22. Yep, and then also the issue of how do you value a player in your financial statements in a swap deal
  23. Interestingly Frank Lampard given the Chelsea role before he completed the final Pro Licence?
  24. https://www.premierleague.com/news/2554997 In line with many other clubs, some are doing more of course. We're staying relatively close to home, the likes of Utd and Liverpool etc doing their money spinning across places like Thailand/Australia etc etc
  25. So Romeo in Red but wearing a predominantly white top…
