  1. Every time an attack breaks down West Brom just hoof it away. There's never a second chance at getting the ball back in and around the box. Very frustrating. It would be nice if they could try and play it out just once so we have a chance of breaking it up in midfield.
  2. In recent weeks I've revised my personal hopes for the season from a third-place finish, to top four, to Europe League, to now just getting 57 points and bettering our Premier League high. Anything better than that will be a nice bonus.
  3. Wonderful. Clean sheet gone after 60 seconds.
  4. Summer's come early this year then. I'm sick of it already.
  5. That picture is so good I'm actually replacing the Saints logo with this as my Skype picture, at least for today.
  6. OFFS! How much luck are Spurs going to get this season?
  7. Of course it is. Anytime a rival drops points, that's a good result. Our result doesn't affect that.
  8. Not ashamed to admit I celebrated that second Hammers goal with a little jig. True, a West Ham win brings them into the mix for Europe (41 points) which potentially complicates things, but at least it keeps Spurs off our back for a while longer.
  9. Did you watch League One when Saints were in it?
  10. I'd be tempted to pop across to Japan if they go there. I'm always looking for an excuse to visit the place, and that sounds perfect. Better still would be for Saints to play a game in Shanghai on the way.
  11. It seems ridiculous to be leaning towards a 'no', but after so long in the top four it would feel like an anti-climax. I also think it would be harder to keep hold of some of our better players as well, although I expect Morgan to go even if we win the league. At the end of the day, our main goal for the season as fans should be to feel smug towards Liverpool and Spurs, so any finish above them would be good.
  12. Spurs I think. Liverpool fans are deluded idiots, but Spurs fans are deluded and smug. I also hate their chairman, and the way the club exploited our dire financial situation to do us out of the Bale sell-on clause years back. And then there's the manager …
  13. I'm half expecting him to call in sick like for the game at Anfield on day one. "Lallana's called in sick. Lallana's called in sick. He's a true scouser now, a skiving little pr**k."
  14. If Lovren doesn't play, which he probably won't … Why my daddy no play? Why my daddy no play? Dejan Lovren Dejan Lovren Why my daddy no play? Print that tweet of his daughter watching the Real Madrid match to go along with it as a banner.
  15. Massive game, for both maintaining our league position and our moral high ground. I doubt too many of us could stomach the team that did the most to try and ruin us in the summer beating us on our own patch. I have an awful feeling Lallana is going to score and then not celebrate out of so-called respect, just to put us fans in an awkward position.

    Shane Long

Apologies if there is already a thread on this, but I've just remembered that Shane Long plays for us. When is he due back?
  17. Doesn't look good. And now watch QPR exploit the fact we don't have a proper left back, without a moments concern for the young lad their thug of a player knocked out.
  18. Well, maybe he did start from zero at Spurs, but Koeman started on minus five at Saints.
  19. Pompey merchandise. If seen, it produces a reaction similar to the publishing of a Mohammad cartoon.
  20. Don't Swansea understand that we are trying to break the big club's dominance of the top four while they themselves have nothing to play for this year? They should be helping us. So selfish. Well done Bertrand. That's going to serve us well.
  21. I can't believe I got out of bed for this.
  22. Hasn't Brendan called us about him yet? I'd love to see Osvaldo and Balotelli together. They'd make a real attacking partnership.
  23. Great. Sturridge is back ... Have a horrible feeling that him and Sterling at Liverpool, and Kane and Erikson at Spurs are going to annoy us quite a bit over the coming weeks.
  24. God I hate Christian Eriksen. Won more points for his team than any other player in the PL apparently, and making Pochettino look good in the process.
  25. Chelsea: not sure about "nailed on" but definitely the number one contenders. Man City: still in for the title. We'll know more about them once they've played Chelsea again. Man Utd: their "dodgy defence" is the third best in the Premier League. People need to update their assessments of them, because they seem to still be based on how they played at the start of the season. They've conceded six goals in the last ten matches. Arsenal; as you say Spurs: I'm actually a little nervous about them, because they seem to have this annoying knack of winning despite playing rubbish. Let's hope the extra games wear them out. Liverpool: Improving all the time unfortunately, and I think Sturridge could make a big difference when he returns.
