250 games of Schneiderlin: Your favourite Morgan moments?
BG_Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
This thread is genius and I just reminded myself why Morgan is my favorite Saint in the last few years... -

What a gem! So I guess Southampton city is going to be one big mess tonight? -
http://soccertoall.net/index.php?channel=3 This one's holding up for the moment (i.e. not freezing).

That's a fair argument, but with the rise of the club stature in the last several years and the constantly improving reputation of the Youth Academy, we should be able to step up our recruitment effort. I think it's safe to assume that the current generation in the U18's is affected (at least partially) by the unfavorable situation in which the club was several years ago. Just another way to look at it...

What makes you think that?

You realize Koeman is building up on an excellent foundation set up by that same guy, right? Do we now blame the whole thing from the summer on one person - MoPo?
-
So when Koeman leaves (hope it's not anytime soon) are we going to hate him as well?
-
Not the best of games for Graziano. He seems frustrated.

Statement of superiority

BIG VIC looks a huge all-round improvement! First touch, passing, and now even scoring goals! And what a composure!
-
Me too. Great to see it though

We look in control now and the chances have started coming in. But it's still anyone's game...
-
Even the best players can lose their nerves. Interesting what's going on on the pitch though - now Bertrand looks nervous

I hope RK had a good talk with Fonte. He seemed on a red card trajectory before HT...

Keeping Morgan is the best bit of business we've done this summer.

Crazy Forest (that's what Ludogorets translates as, I am serious) are a plastic team. But kudos to them for lasting at least 45 mins Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Blatter says "video reviews", all I hear is "commercial breaks"... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Has everyone forgotten about Florin Gardos?

Even that's surprising (and somewhat strange). I never bothered to look at his age and somehow assumed he was an young talent to be developed (and hence taking the risk with buying someone from the Romanian league). At 25 he's probably near his prime and coming from the Romanian league (I'm not being arrogant - his former team Steaua just got kicked out of the CL in the last qualifying round by the Bulgarian champions Ludogorets - and I know just how bad Bulgarian club football is) I can't imagine he's at the level necessary for being a starter in the Prem. -
I wouldn't have Super Mario if they GIVE us £16m...
-
Don't give them ideas - before you know it they'll come knocking for Morgan...
-
I would try to keep Morgan at any cost (not sure how likely this is in terms of his willingness to play for us). In my opinion he's one of the best DM's in the PL - http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/0zjpl5_xskqsimmppnff2q/Show/Player-Focus-Few-Midfielders-Can-Offer-More-Than-Schneiderlin

I'm thinking the same just reading these forums.

We played poorly, didn't create enough chances. Our closest chance was JWP's free kick. WBA looked sharper post '70 and missed winning towards the end (great save by Forster). I was expecting a tough game (like last year), but was hoping we could scrape a 1-0 (like last year). Too early to give out sentences on new transfers. Teams needs more time to gel.

So, the deal is still in the making?
