Is it just me or is everyone rewatching the match multiple times?! It is amazing watching it back knowing what happened, just how comfortable we actually were in the last 10 minutes. The GK and defence were absolutely magnificent and the celebrations after were just incredible. I get teary eyed everytime - especially when they are all walking up the steps and receiving the trophy. I imagine its feeling you dont really get as a supporter of a Big 6 team as it happens so often. For us all it just seems so special.

Absolutely staggered that he’s still there. The only glimmer of hope I’m holding onto is that things are being done behind the scenes to get the new manager in place before then sacking him.

Has to be someone with Premier League experience and can command instant respect from the players and unite the club. So for me thats Benitez, Bielsa or Nuno.

That could be the route they are going down, lot of legal stuff to do if that’s the case. Which may mean it may not be an early announcement this morning.

It’s over, he’ll be gone by Monday morning. Get Nigel in to manage to the end of the season to unite the club and Bielsa to do his thing behind the scenes with the academy (which he wanted to do at Everton I believe) and then he can take over in the summer.

Interesting looking at strikers in Europe that Juanmi who wasnt great for us has been pretty prolific in the Spanish league over the last 5 years for Sociedad and Betis. We maybe got him too early - but I guess he was ‘young and hungry’ back then.

Complete lack of urgency - so frustrating

If there’s one team you want to play when you are 1-0 up with 5 mins to go it’s us. Where is the urgency?!

This is utterly dreadful, even worse than anything Pellegrino served up.

So when we play other teams who need an equaliser against us in the last few minutes they go all out, throw everything at us and score. Yet when we need a goal we do absolutely nothing apart from fannying around passing side to side at the back.

More angry today than on Tuesday night. Absolutely abysmal performance in the second half. Just know we weren’t going to score - just passing around at the back allowing Newcastle to get in position every time. No pace, urgency or intelligence. Shocking.

Have to admit I bottled it and went to the shop on 85 mins as just couldn't watch It!!!! Mark Hughes surely has to stay - he has done a magnificent job considering the mess he inherited.

In a stable club with good owners Adkins is a terrific manager (us and S****horpe) but he has also been at clubs where there has been chaos in the ownership so would be harsh to judge him at those to be fair.
