Has anybody seen players out recently?
Unbelievable Jeff replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
Or whether or not you can judge a bar on how many shots they have...badum tschh! -
It seems there are a plethora of posters on here who enjoy our players doing badly, and I was wondering why this was? What is their agenda? The amount of criticism I see for Gaston, Osvaldo etc, and the amount of people on here waiting for Poch to slip up so they can criticise him is very strange, especially when we have played well and are sat pretty, high up the table. Why all this criticism? IS it that because we're doing well people feel they have to have SOMETHING to complain about? I don't know, I suppose it's down to the way people are, and live their life. Fingers crossed you're all proved wrong, and we can continue to push further up the table. Peace out. Jeff.

It shouldn't be a problem, as Gaston is available, but I think it's pretty obvious that Poch doesn't like him (probably doesn't track back enough).

ANOTHER negative article from the Mirror, after their last one about Dani which was refuted. What have we done to the Mirror to deserve this?

The fact that we have only created 4, I repeat, 4, clear cut chances this season means that perhaps we should give him some time, and perhaps some opportunities. Stats from Whoscored.com.

Hmmm, careful, sounds like your getting very close to calling some members of the forum xenophobes...

Thierry Henry took 8 games to score his first Arsenal goal...can't remember who it was against

He's also not had time to prepare with the team pre-season, meaning others get the nod ahead, see JWP at the beginning of last season and this. I believe people really underestimate the need to have pre-season with your team.

I find it surprising how vitriolic people are about him, yet are pining for the return of Puncheon. Yes he cost a lot, but **** happens. We haven't been sold a dud, we've been sold a talented player who has yet to hit his potential with us. I think the fact that he hasn't had any time off in 3 years or so doesn't help, whereas in Italy he would have had time off due to the Winter break. Frankly, I am waiting for him to come good in the next couple of months.

Southampton the 4th crappest town in the UK

Liverpool's alright...best I can say really. Would far prefer to live where I do now. -

4th worst, what utter horse****. Also, I've lived in London or nearby for the last 4 years, and it's a great city IF YOU HAVE MONEY. If you don't then of course it's going to be ****, but so would living most places. I know a number of people who live in Portsmouth due to their Missus, but can't wait to move back to Southampton. It's a good place for people in their 20's and early 30's I reckon. -

Pikey shooting. Loads of places Surrey way where you can hang out in trees and shoot them with air rifles. Great afternoon.

I did my Mensa examination in Coventry. Do they still hold it there? World's probably changed since 2003, what with that t'internet really taking off.

Shows that perhaps what we achieved under Adkins was, although an achievement, not as amazing as people thought. Amazing from those players though.

It's pretty simple Supply and Demand with a sprinkling of profit maximisation in all honesty. I don't believe from the above that you can conclude saturation point has been reached, far from it, as you can reach reasonable conclusions as to why some were higher and lower for all matches above.

Defences have got worse, but that's only because teams play more expansively and teams have stopped investing in decent CB's. Well, let's put it another way. Name an outstanding CB that's plying his trade in the Premiership that's not Vincent Kompany!

I don't agree, especially considering the rise of costs from last season to this season was pretty minimal.

Different situation. 2 teams fighting it out at the top of the table is different to 2 midtable Premiership sides. If we were top of the league we'd have a higher attendance for all games I'd wager.
