  1. Got a nice ring to it that. Flows very nicely.
  2. Have you noticed a lack of this recently? I wonder why that is
  3. Because the players want to play for Pochettino and I believe this is the key decision.
  4. Thanks Weston. Agree with what you say there.
  5. Weston, you have probably answered this, but do you think Adam wants to go, or is it a 50-50 that depends on Saints ambition/Manager?
  6. Nuclear sugar. F U C K. There's one for the Daily Mail. Bet that's got to be worse for you than those trans-fats...
  7. I just don't think the club are in the position to make statements to the players when they don't know what's going to happen. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.
  8. To be fair I didn't see that from Weston. If he wants to go, so be it. Ramirez to step up next season then (which to be fair he has the talent to).
  9. I thought £30m was turned into equity, so not technically a liability? I think the missing £30m was that loan we took out from the off-shore bank (can't remember it's name now).
  10. Knowing what we currently know with the uncertainty surrounding the manager, what would you say to the players? Future ambitions for the club were outlined in March I believe. Are they expected to have changed this now? If not, surely just putting the statement that was made then up again would suffice?
  11. They then poured the dust over a massive glass or something and it didn't break...or sumink like that.
  12. It was planted at the scene - didn't you know that?
  13. In the mighty struggle between Pap and Special K, Special K is winning (imho). Pap, you need to stop deflecting and need to start disputing the facts/opinions put across by Special K as you are following a little bit of a Barry S way of debating at the moment. All still to win though.
  14. Why isn't it comparable to now? It was another time when there was going to be a meltdown and nothing happened. I also have not seen any quotes saying that players want to leave either?
  15. So you go to the cinema and buy a season ticket, but you know what the films are going to be like next April do you? If you're going to do this, compare like for like. Of course not.
  16. A few tweets from Adam in January.... - Saints FC boss Pochettino and key players to consider their futures again if Cortese walks - like last Summer - not good in a transfer window. - Two likely outcomes to Cortese problem - he leaves, owners stick a chairman in and instruct someone to sell, or agreement signed 2 to 3 years. - I think it will have a knock-on with players unless ownership take the bull by the horns very quickly. - SaintsFC most urgent concern owner needs to deal with is keeping players on board during window - agents will have spotted an opportunity. These are just a few, which you can see would fuel speculation/hysteria in January when nothing happened. Frankly, I'm afraid I don't believe everything he says. I believe Shaw is off, but there is no real problem with this. This is why I don't really give a **** about what the papers say - if you chuck enough **** at a wall some will stick. I can't believe you think that joining towards the end of a window and not spending pre-season with the team matters. It matters massively. Players need to be brought in early or can take time to adjust, especially when it's a latin player coming to England. At the moment Pochettino and Reed are planning player acquisitions ready for next season. Shaw and Lallana are off to the World Cup with the rest of the England squad. Why all the blind panic? Just out of interest, what do you expect the club to be saying to the players? Cos I expect it will be the following. "Business as usual, contract negotiations are on-going with Pochettino." What more can be said when no decision has been made?
  17. Completely agree, this place is in meltdown. I'm currently going through and saving some classic quotes from people for later...
  18. Do you support your cinema in the same way that you do your football club? Of course not.
  19. There were perennial rumours in January that Poch and Shaw were leaving, as well as the club going into meltdown there and then. It didn't happen, so no, I don't take journalists/papers words for it. They may be right, they may be wrong, but until things start happening I don't see the point in banging the drum over and over that this board are sh!t and not communicating (even though we had a long, official, statement on Poch, transfers etc from Les Reed less than 2 weeks ago), that we are falling apart and that next season we'll be lucky not to be relegated. One of my main points last season was that we needed the players in early so that they could partake in Summer training (our style of play is difficult to learn/adapt to) and so we could take advantage of our easy start to the season. Whichever way you look at it, we brought in Osvaldo too late to have the desired impact. that was one of my main points.
  20. Gotta say I don't think I believe conspiracy theorists on 9/11, although I do find it very interesting to read the theories and also read people debating it, as I am always happy to be won over.
  21. A) I don't think any of us were delivered the stiker we wanted last year, do you? B) Where did you ask that question? I admitted above it was a bit hysterical, like the reaction at the moment, so what's your problem? Surely I am in the best place to judge whether or not a reaction is hysterical, because I fell into the trap last year.
  22. Let's just wait and see eh?
  23. Why morons? What have they done? Seems we've got someone taking over from Barry and Glasgow as the forum numpty.
  24. It's his best man by all accounts.
  25. Wouldn't be getting that if we weren't willing to spend money.
