  1. Don't mention Norway, Wes will have pay £50 to Tim's choice of charity, which I believe is going to be to help Arabs and Jews against racism...delicious.
  2. Won't happen as Boris will have to campaign based on wanting a deal, or his vote will be cut to just Brexiteers who want no deal (which is obviously far fewer voters). If he campaigns on wanting a deal, the Brexit party will go against him, splitting the vote. As GM said yesterday, Boris has played a blinder. And as I repeatedly said before the Tory leadership election, a vote for Boris is a vote for No Brexit.
  3. I know many (including myself) just from my constituency that have done that same move...and my constituency is... Runnymede and Weybridge. Would love to see Phil move over as we like him here. Got a lovely house in Ripley too.
  4. It was a great interview.
  5. Just putting this here...think I may re-post this every day.
  6. What is your point then? I assume it's not that the stock market has gone up since Brexit.
  7. He was the first minister to resign over Brexit, so you should have heard of him. It's a good pension, but for the work they do I think an MP should be paid more than a bog standard Accountant.
  8. I can't believe that it's had to be explained again. It's mental. It's good for pensioners about to draw their index linked pensions. It's very bad for people who want money from companies listed on the FTSE to stay in the UK.
  9. TBH, I'm so sick of the whole thing that I'm not looking that far ahead - it's more twisty-turny than a twisty-turny thing. Frankly, we'll see what happens before prorogation, and then I'll worry about Corbyn if they accept a GE (which I'm not sure they will do at the moment). Personally I'd like to do a little bit of my own analysis once the manifesto's are presented to work out how much McDonnell thinks he'd be able to do.
  10. We can recover from a Corbyn administration. It will be a minority government if he got in.
  11. Corbyn wouldn't get into power without a lot of SNP and Lib Dem help - so I don't think Corbyn would end up getting his way that much anyway.
  12. The reason May's deal failed was due to Brexiteers in the Tory party though...
  13. Agreed, no idea.
  14. I wonder if we'll see Parliament try to impose an automatic application for delay to "no deal" date if a general election is called.
  15. Take it from someone that lives in said constituency, the Lib Dems will be massively increasing their vote next time if it means no Brexit. Labour support here is, how can I put it - fickle, and if the Brexit party field a candidate the Tories will be done here. It may be a mostly Conservative constituency, but it is also quite a highly educated area with a huge amount of bankers that don't want to lose money on their property (that has already started happening in the area). People here are greedy, not stupid, so you'll see them vote for what is best for them. It will be the same in Spellthorne, Guildford, Effingham, Dorking, Weybridge, Cobham, Walton and Esher. No deal is a killer for the area, so it won't go as you imagine.
  16. Adams will be decent, just needs a goal.
  17. Vestergaard is a very good passer tbf.
  18. If we had Lemina in the centre this would be so different. Boufal our best player. FFS Adams. If only he'd scuffed it more.
  19. Boufal needs to play in the centre. Adams properly through the middle. We have issues.
  20. Exactly. They're giving Boris the time and the chance to come up with his proposal in the time necessary.
  21. EU to remove October 31st deadline? https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/17870548.eu-withdraw-current-deadline-brexit-remove-no-deal-option/
  22. “Make the lie big, keep it simple, keep saying it and eventually they will believe it,” Joseph Goebbels.
  23. But all the Brexiteers on this thread have maintained that they knew what they were voting for, and that they would vote that way again, even with that knowledge.
  24. It's just such a shame, as those that voted to leave are happy with the blood on their hands. Another reason they are treated with such disdain, that they would see innocent people die because they can't admit they were conned.
