Saphir Taïder is landing in UK tonight, ticket paid for by Southampton FC. His move should be confirmed tomorrow.

I would be extremely pleased if we signed Winston Reid. An excellent, powerful and mobile 6'3 CB and only 26 years old. He has apparently turned down a £60k a week 5 year deal with Wham though so it sounds like his wage demands are high...or maybe just wants a new challenge elsewhere.

What a difference a few weeks make eh!? I'm feeling very optimistic and positive for the new season now. I believe we have an upgraded manager in RK, atleast a 'like for like' replacement for the badge kissing Judas and Pellè sounds like an ideal replacement for Lambert. We have more more money to spend and if we can hold on to Morgan then we are no worse off squad wise than when we finished last season. COYR.

Flights were booked by someone from the club and they are leaving tomorrow evening.

Good sign - Ronald and Erwin Koeman are flying into Heathrow tomorrow morning from Amsterdam.

You would probably need to ask that to whoever booked his flight. He is flying out of Heathrow on a 6pm flight this evening.

Distin ruled out for Saturday.. Maybe he was scared of the 'Yoooo Skate bastooood' chants. A blow for them nonetheless.. He is a solid PL centre back and has had a good season.

Lallana isn't classed as an out and out centre forward/striker.. So, I'm still interested to know if it has happened before.

He really is a superb player.. Consistent, compact, tidy, rarely f***s up. He is actually very skilful too and has a great touch and can creatively pick out passes. He has chipped in with some key assists this season too: Man City at home for Ossie, Newc away for J Rod, Lallana at home vs ? I'm a big fan and he deserves more recognition for his excellent unsung 'engine room' work this season and last.

He has a serious left foot on him.. He scored a cracker with a fierce left foot drive in pre season. The former Zambian national coach is managing Sochaux so hopefully he can get the best out of him. It will be tough to score to many goals though as Sochaux are rock bottom of Ligue 1.

This seems greedy as we have just had 3 players named in the England squad.. but I'm gutted for Clyney! He is one of our most consistent performers and should be in the squad over Johnson who has been out injured for weeks!
