Very impressed tonight.. He is a huge physical presence and extremely calm and composed on the ball.

On the train back from Paddington to Maidenhead.. That was absolutely fantastic and all for a tenner! Gardos, Targett, Clyne, Tadic all superb! Solid goalkeeping from FF too - two excellent instinctive saves. There was nothing he could do about the goal which was a perfect free kick. We played some fantastic football, it was a joy to watch. Arsenal attacked us at pace which was a bit nerve wracking at times but our defending was more than a match. Fair play to Koeman for playing a strong team - he has been rewarded. His record managing against Wenger's Arsenal is now played 7, lost 1! Lastly, our fans were superb tonight...over 5,000 for a Tuesday night is great support and you could see the players appreciated it! Bring on QPR on Saturday...

I'm really looking forward to this one! It'll be my first Tuesday night away game since Brentford 1 - 1 Saints in League One. Interestingly Szczesny was in goal for Brentford that night during a loan spell. We should keep the momentum going by playing a strong team and I think we could edge it by a goal. It'll be exciting to see Mané feature and with 5k+ Saints fans it'll be like Leyton Orient/Crystal Palace away from the League 1/Championship days!

Was the West Ham free kick in a better position for a left footed Tadic? At the WBA game JWP took that free kick to the left of the box which hit the post. There didn't appear to be any squabble but maybe this was because it was a better position for a right footer. They are both very capable dead ball/set piece takers - I think JWP has now scored 3 very good free kicks for England U21s now. However, there clearly needs to be a hierarchy based on ability and/or position of the free kick in relation to the goal so that no one falls out during the game!

He comes across extremely well, excellent English and speaks very genuinely about the move to Saints. You can't underestimate the power of having an ex legend like RoKo as manager, it appears that he was a major factor in this coup of a signing!
